It was after school hours and you just finished working on your science report in the library. Checking the time, only forty minutes had passed, leaving you relieved you didn't have to stay longer than 4:00pm. The hallways lacked the usual noises of bustling students as you walked to class, so you kept your earbuds in to fill the gaping silence with low-playing music.

You entered the science room, expecting your teacher to be there, but no one was around at the moment. Closing the door behind you, a sigh left your lips.

"Guess he's not here..."

Shrugging your shoulders as it wasn't a big deal, you handed-in your report to the pile of papers stacked on his desk. You made sure to leave a sticky note explaining where you left it, just in case it got lost in all the paperwork.

Golden sunlight gleamed through the window panes and covered the walls and floor with its essence. The empty classroom become strangely beautiful that evening. You could see the dust particles floating in the air because of the glow. It was calming. Your legs couldn't seem to walk away from the scenery. The song playing from your phone made the ambience even better.

Before you knew it, you were closing your eyes and naturally dancing to the song. Most of the choreo just flowed through your body, but it didn't matter if you were doing it wrong, because in the moment you were just dancing with no one watching. Time was irrelevant and the world turned a blur of a background, it was just you, the music, and the classroom.

Surprisingly, you found yourself lost in the rhythm and the beat. It was actually fun just messing around without a care for other people's judgement, which meant you were too distracted to notice a separate presence besides yours leaning by the door.

"What do we have here..." The figure muttered amused to himself, realizing you weren't able to hear or see him.

Eventually, you turned away from the window side and opened your eyes, only to catch sight of an attractive, smirking face. You instantly jump in shock and resist a scream you would have let out if you didn't care about making a fool of yourself. Of all the people who could have walked in on you dancing, it had to be Lee Minho — notorious bad boy and irresistable charmer.

You roll your eyes, looking away when he began to clap, as if entertained by your previous performance. This joy-stealing brat...

"What do you want?"

"I didn't know the bookworm knew how to dance," he ignored your question and raised a brow suggestively. "Who knew there was something besides reading that you do?"

"Yeah, yeah. You caught me, but I'm going now so just pretend you didn't see anything."

You head straight for the door where he stood beside but before you could leave, he moved his body in front of you. Your face stopped centimeters away from bumping into his chest and as you glanced up at his grin, his hand placed a lock of loose hair behind your ear. The touch sent sparks down your nerves — in a bad, yet undoubtedly good way.

"Where are you going, sweetheart?" Minho stared temptingly into your eyes. It annoyed you how he managed to make you nervous for no reason.

"Home. Where else? Now get out of my way."

You stepped to the right but he blocked you again, walking closer and causing you to move back until you run into a desk.

Your arms held onto the table behind you to steady yourself. He leaned down, hands stuffed into his pants pockets as you were forced to look up at his mischievous grin.

"You know, you're somewhat prettier with your hair down like that. Tying it up all the time annoys me, so don't do it anymore."

You scrunched your nose, confused whether it was supposed to be a compliment or an insult. Minho was a mystery. He barely shows up to class and when he does, he always seems uninterested in the world going on outside. Every time you see him, he'd either be sleeping or gazing out the window with earbuds in.

And yet somehow, he manages to be handsome no matter he was doing. You knew his looks were good. But he was still a brat. So no, you didn't have a crush on him like the many other girls in the school. Then again, he never talked to you before. This was a first.

"You're awfully quiet. Is it my face? Let me guess, you've never seen a guy nearly as attractive as me. I don't blame you for staring, I know you like it, princess," he winked, successfully catching you off-guard. "Oh? Have I made you flustered? I didn't know you looked this cute when your cheeks are red."

"Shut up, I'm not falling for you or your tricks. I was thinking about something and lost focus..." You tore your gaze away and pushed his chest back so you could finally stand up straight.

"That's not a nice thing to say," he playfully pouted, feigning hurt in his expression. "And who said I was tricking anyone? I'm just being myself here."

You sigh, energy completely drained just from being left alone for a few minutes with the boy. It was like you were babysitting a child.

"I don't get why you're suddenly talking to me. Don't you have something better to do after school besides this?"

"Perhaps," Minho shrugged, putting little thought into the question. "You can't assume I have any bad intentions when you don't know me. Maybe I just like speaking to new people."

"Okay fine, but I'm really tired after finishing my assignment so can I please just leave now?"

His eyes glanced at the slack in your shoulders and sensed your low mood. For some unidentifiable reason, he felt a little bad for not noticing it earlier.

"Sure, go ahead."

You raised a brow, finding the answer suspicious. "I can go? Just like that?"

"Yeah. But can I see your phone for a sec?" He held a hand out.

When you didn't give a response and simply stared in confusion, he exhaled.

"I promise I won't steal your personal information or look at your photo gallery! Trust me this once, please."

The 'please' surprised you a bit, and unknowingly, you handed him your phone without further questioning. His fingers tapped on the screen for a minute or two until he gave it back. Everything seemed to be in the right place, so you weren't sure what he did to it.

"I added my playlist. They're all good songs to dance to so you shoulden listen to 'em sometime when you feel like drifting out of this world for a moment. I'll be upset if you don't," Minho frowned, focusing on the dumbfounded look on your face and secretly enjoying it. "See ya, y/n. I'll see you again soon~"

And then he left, back getting further down the hall until you no longer spotted his figure in the distance. You blinked and turned to the playlist created by him.

As you were left wondering to yourself what in the world just happened, Minho was walking back home with a new profound smile on his face.
