We spend the next few hours in the kitchen, goofing around while baking a chocolate cake. I asked Friday for a recipe and he talked us through it, waiting till we're done with throwing flour at each other.

The smell of cake fills the kitchen and I clap excitedly while staring at the oven.

"It won't be finished sooner just because you stare at it." Wanda teases and hugs me from behind, kissing the back of my neck, sending warm shivers through my body.

"You'll never know." I mumble and feel her smile against my skin.
"You can help me prepare the frosting if you want to." She offers and I spin around in her arms. When my eyes see her face that's halfway covered in flour, I giggle, remembering the little flour battle we had.

"Sure, I'd love to." I answer and let her pull me towards the kitchen aisle to help her.

While making the frosting, I take a little spoon and scoop some up and into my mouth. I almost moan at the taste and let my head fall back. Wanda watches me with amused eyes.

"It's good?" She questions and takes my spoon to taste herself.
"It's perfect. I honestly don't know how you do that. Whenever I try to bake something, it's never this good." I admit and watch her close her eyes at the taste of the frosting.

"I also don't know but I'm sure your baked goods still taste very yummy." She holds against me after swallowing.

"Maybe." I settle on and steal another bit of the frosting, earning a laugh from Wanda.

When the cake is ready, we take it out and let it cool off before putting the frosting on and around it. We put it in the fridge so the frosting won't melt and go to wash ourselves. Baking was a lot of fun but also a big mess, at least when it comes to our bodies and clothes, the kitchen is clean.

After a quick shower, I put on some comfy clothes and wait for Wanda in the kitchen.
She arrives soon after and we decide to invite everyone else to eat cake with us.
We ask Friday to inform everyone and ten minutes later everyone, except Thor who had to go, are with us in the dinning area.

We serve the cake proudly and everyone seems to like it.
The others congratulate me as well and start talking about previous birthdays. Most of the stories are nice but a few are a little embarrassing, at least for me and I try to hide my blush.

Wanda puts her hand on my thigh and squeezes it gently to signal me it's okay. Tony has a teasing smile on his face while telling an old story. Mom lightly hits his shoulder to make him stop and he does, smiling at me. He actually is soft inside but likes to hide it but I know he loves me.

We switch topics and talk about random funny stories that everyone laughs at.
Steve is so kind and brings all our plates into the kitchen and says he'll take care of the dishes today.

I thank him and the others slowly get up and back to their work, not without hugging me though. Mom goes to read in the living room and Wanda and I decide to join her.
My back is leaning against the armrest while my legs are over Wanda's lap and she absentmindedly draws little shapes onto them. It's a very calm atmosphere.

At some point I get bored of reading and ask if anyone wants to play a game on the console with me and Wanda agrees. My mom declines with a smile but assures us that it doesn't bother her.

So, Wanda and I start a game and it's a lot of fun, we laugh a lot.
When it gets later, we switch the game off to get ready for dinner.

I chose to wear black jeans and a white blouse since it's a little bit chicer but not too much.
Wanda wears a simple red dress that makes me gaze at her in awe. She looks amazing, no matter what she wears though.

Mom also wears a dress but hers is black. We take the car and drive to the restaurant.
It's small but the atmosphere there is really nice and calm and we sit at a table, Wanda next to me and mom opposite of me. The waitress is really friendly and a few minutes later our drinks are here and our food is ordered.

"I have a gift for you." Wanda says and I see her slightly flustered cheeks.
"You didn't have to." I say in a soft voice but she shakes her head.

"But I wanted to." She insists and hands me a wrapped up gift. I open it carefully to reveal a book. It's the second part to one that I really loved and I smile widely at Wanda and hug her before kissing her shortly.

"Thank you so much! I didn't even know there already was a second part." I share excited and read the back. Wanda matches my smile and leans her head against my shoulder to read herself. She offers to put it back in the bag she had it in at first so it won't get crinkles.

"I have something for you too." Mom goes next and pulls out a small box. It looks noble and I look at her, a little confused.

I open it and gasp at the necklace. It's the same one my mom has and that I always loved on her. I carefully take the little arrow out of the box to look at it closer.

"I added a small gravure into the back, so you know it's yours." She says, her eyes on my joyful expression. I turn the arrow around and graze one finger carefully over the engraved words: It's your moment.

It's from one of the books she used to read to me when I was a child. I loved that book because it always inspired me to be true to myself and do what feels right for me, because it's my moment and my life.

I have to bite my lip to not get emotional and ask Wanda to put it on me. She does carefully and I reach for it when it hangs around my neck. My heart fills with happiness and I stand up to give my mom a big hug. She returns it and kisses my cheek.

"Thank you." I whisper.
"You're welcome, moya lyubov." She answers with a smile and I sit down next to Wanda.

We start talking about random things and the mood is really great and we laugh a lot. Mom and Wanda really seem to get along good, which makes me really happy. I was worried they'd always be hostile towards each other but they're not.

I watch them interact and smile happily.
Who would have thought three months ago, that we would all three sit here and enjoy a dinner together? I definitely not. But so much has changed within these past months. There were good moments and bad ones but in the end, we're all healthy and together, that's all that matters.

I hope it'll stay this way.

The rest of the dinner is great and the waitress even brings me a cupcake because it's my birthday and I get to blow out a candle.
Before doing so, I let my eyes dance around the table and think about my wish. I find a good one, close my eyes and blow out the candle, wishing to stay happy with girlfriend and my mom close to me.

A/n: This chapter is a little shorter and mainly a filler chapter for what I have planned next. ;)
