"Did you get enough love,
my little dove?"

"Right, I've got to head to work," Melissa sighed, standing up from her spot on the floor.

"What! We're nearing the Mercy West merge episode!" Scott complained.

"We'll watch it tomorrow!" she exclaimed, grabbing her shoes and slipping them on. She muttered quiet goodbyes before heading out. She pulled Max into a quick hug when he came back into Jade's room with more blankets.

They heard the door slam shut, as Max sat on the edge of the bed. He threw the extra blankets at his cousin and sister. The house was always freezing.

It had been two days since the post had been made on the anonymous beacon hills page. The twins, Scott and Melissa had hidden away in Jade's room. Fern had pottered around the room, begging for human food every now and then. They'd eaten their body weight in pizza, chocolate and ice-cream and binge watched Greys Anatomy. Stiles had came over to visit and join in on the show; in fact, he'd only went home when Noah dragged him out of the McCall residence.

Their phones had been blowing up all weekend. Messages were coming in from Allison, Lydia, Danny, Erica, Isaac, Boyd, Derek, even Jackson and people they'd never talked too.

Derek had obviously knew about the situation, but still wanted to make sure the teens were okay. It wasn't everyday the whole town got told your parents were dead. But then again, it was Beacon Hills.

"Where's the vet? Is he gonna help us or not?" Derek demanded from the hallway of the veterinarian clinic.

"That depends. Your friend, Jackson. Are we planning on killing him or saving him?" Deaton asked, stepping into the doorframe.

"Save him."

"Kill him."

"Save him!" Scott exclaimed. He thought he had been pretty clear with the rules of them working together. He turned to Deaton, rolling his eyes in annoyance. "Save him."

The group walked into the main room. Max was sitting on a countertop, while his sister was grabbing a tray full of bottles that were marked with symbols. She placed them on the table, Deaton standing beside her.

"Are you guys okay?" Derek asked, standing opposite them. Yes, it was a stupid question but he didn't really know what else he was supposed to say.

They nodded as Max jumped off the table, standing beside his cousin. Jade grabbed a bottle as the vet grabbed another. Isaac reached his hand out, but Derek gripped his wrist.

God, she was getting déjà vu from the other day with Matt.

Matt. When she saw him next she was going to literally murder him. You'll regret that. He was the one who had made that post. He could deny it all he wanted, but she wasn't stupid.

"Watch what you touch."

"So. What are you? Some kind of witch? Like her?" Isaac asked, gesturing towards the blonde who sent a sarcastic smile in response.

"No. I'm a veterinarian," Deaton replied as if it was obvious.

"None of this is gonna work," Jade sighed, glancing at the man.

"We need something that will be an effective defence against a paralytic toxin," he agreed.

"What about an effective offence?" Isaac asked.
