Chapter 13: He's Changed

Kongpob, was busy doing his work. Things were like signing a file and business dealing.

He looked at his wrist watch, "3:21 pm." He leaned his back to his office Chair and massaged his temples.

He sighted then, stood up, and bottoned his suit.

He was going for the cafe stall to get himself a coffee and when he arrived, his eyes catched a familiar figure.

"P'Arthit..." He whispered.

For the fist time in years, he saw him again, smiling brightly like before.

He saw him with Maprang, Praepaillin and Earth, happily chatting while sipping some coffee.

"Then... He told me, "i do not care." Then i replied with, "Yeah, don't care then." Then he hanged up the phone and was pissed off. After that, he never called nor texted me again." Maprang told everyone how her blind date went.

"How come you never dated him? I mean he is a good guy after all." Earth asked, looking straight at Maprang.

"He wasn't actually my type."

"What's your type then?" Praepaillin asked, "Well...." Maprang was hesitant. "More like P'Arthit. Scary but lovely."

Arthit chuckled. "A guy like me?" He pointed to himself. Maprang nodded.

"He wasn't scary, actually." Kongpob said at the back. They all looked at him and wai'd.

"Khun Kongpob. Do you want to join us?" Praepaillin asked.

"I'm good." He said and went to the cafe stall to buy Pink Milk.

"He really changed." Maprang whispered. Arthit who was smiling ear to ear, listening to Maprang earlier became quiet.

"That's right, Kongpob changed." Arthit thought.

He already knew that Kongpob already changed since the first meeting.

__

It had been 3 months and 6 days, since the two started working together.

Kongpob only spoke whenever it is important to do so. While Arthit, was busy, doing all the hard tasks that Kongpob assigned. He has no choice but to agree and usually over time.

Arthit couldn't argue to Kongpob, as he is not the head hazer that used to shout at the younger everytime and its now, another way around. It was 7 in the evening and Arthit finished the tasked.

He was about to open his car when, he suddenly felt a massive headache and, nearly collapsed on the ground. Luckily, someone catched him in time.

"Arthit.... P'Arthit wake up." He said, tapping his cheeks.

Arthit already passed out when Kongpob catched him. Yup, the one and only.

He was worried to the elder and carried him in a bridal style to his car. He drove to the nearest hospital and Arthit was quickly admitted into a ward.

While Arthit was still unconscious, Kongpob and the doctor talked.

The doctor told him, that the reason of Arthit, fainting was due to stress.

__

It was 8:30 pm, and Knot reached the said hospital where Arthit was.

It was him, his husband and Mint.

They all rushed to the front desk and asked where was the ward that Arthit was admitted to.

"336, sir. To the left corner of the fourth floor."

The nurse said, and the two thanked him while Mint couldn't understand what was happening and why they are at the hospital.

"Arthit!" Knot shouted but, he was taken a back when, he saw Kongpob in the room, sitting next to Arthit's bed.

Mint on the another hand, rushed to Arthit and looked at him.

"Papa..." She called out. She faced Knot and asked, "Uncle Knot. Why papa was here?" She asked, "Is he sick?"

"Well.....he...." Knot couldn't say an answer to Mint. "He passed out because of stress." Kongpob answered, with a cold stern voice.

"Then, when will papa wake up, Mister?" She asked.

"I don't know when." He said.

Mint again starred at Arthit while the couple, decided to, let the three be.

Mint claimed up to Arthit's bead and sat. She held his hands and said, "Papa....wake up please. Mint is here now..."

Kongpob watched Mint as she said the same line over and over again.

He studied her physical appearance. His eyes widened, he just realized, she resemble as him.

"You...." He called out and Mint looked at him.

"What is your name?" He asked suddenly, Mint showed him a smile and said, "My name is Mint. Mitturinn Rojnapat."

"How....old were you?" He started to ask questions. "I am 5."

"How about your mother where is she?" He asked again. This was his only hope to know something.

"I don't know."

"You don't know?" He repeated. "I never met her, yet. But, papa said, i could meet her when I grow up." She innocently said.

His gaze landed on Arthit who was lying in the bed. And he stared back to Mint.

"Mister, you seemed so interested at my papa." She said, "Are you papa's old friend?" She asked. "Yes....i am."

"Then, what's your name, Mister?" She asked.

"Kong. Kongpob." He simply replied, with a small smile.

"Kong? I think I heard that name before. Oh right, i remember. Papa mentioned you, but when I asked him, if who are you. He said no one."

Kongpob felt like a cold bucket of water was splashed on him. He is no one in Arthit's life, yet, Arthit was like his whole world.

Arthit then, slowly moved his hand that alerted mint thy he was awake.

Mint looked at him while Kongpob's face were fixed to the father-daughter duo Infront of him.

"Papa!" Mint exclaimed. "Where am I?" Arthit asked.

"Papa, you wake up. This mister said that you were so stressed." Mint said, holding her papa's hand.

Arthit's gaze landed at Kongpob who was sitting next to him. He wanted to sat up, so, Mint and Kongpob helped him.

"Papa, are you okay now?" Mint asked. "Papa's okay Mint. You don't need to worry." Arthit said and hugged Mint's small body.

Then, he again looked at Kongpob. "Thank you for taking me here." He said, and gave Kongpob a smile.

While Kongpob on the another hand didn't replied and just stared at the two.

"Papa....don't stress yourself too much like that again." Mint said, and closed her eyes, hugging Arthit.

While the family reunited, it was all witnessed by the couple who was standing at the door, looking at them.

"Do you think, it was time for Mint to know the truth?" Tew asked, looking at the three.

"Only Arthit has the decision."
