Recap:

"Young lady, since when do you have boyfriend?"

'Holy Crap!'

Hilary felt like fainting when she heard her ever sweet mom's angry voice.

' God! I'm done for, today.' Hilary thought with dread.

Hilary's POV:

"Err.. Mom.." I was lost for words.

'Did this really happen? Like seriously did he kiss my hand in front of my mom?!'

I was still reeling from shock when I heard mom's strict voice which shook me out of my musings.

"I'm waiting for your answer here."

"Mrs.Tachibana, Actually I'm not her boyfriend. I'm actually her husb-"

"No! I- I mean he's a friend of mine. He is actually my senior in school."

Can he not see how serious mom is! Does he hate me so much that he is planning my murder by the hands of my mom!

I freaked out when he almost said 'husband'. But thankfully recovered on time. I understood his intentions clearly. He is here for his sweet revenge.

' That's what you get for trying to play with stone-cold prince.' I felt my concious mocking me.

I almost had heart attack because of him today. If mom ever gets to know about my prank. I will be grounded for my life!

I looked at Kai pleadingly. Asking him silently to backup my statement and not to make the situation even worse than it already is.

But he remained stoic as ever silently enjoying my suffering. I glared at him in my mind.

'Arrogant Cold Jerk!'

My mom is still looking at me, clearly not convinced with my answer.

"So, Are you telling me that all your seniors kiss your hand as greeting?" Mom asked with a raised eyebrow.

"M- mom!"

I sputtered awkwardly as I felt my cheeks heat up unconsciously.

"It's not like that. It's just Kai likes to get on my nerves. He's always like that."
I said, now clearly glaring at him openly while he is smirking giving bad-boy-next-door vibes.
