After escaping from school we didn't made our way home. We were pretty hungry and we ended up eating at a food stand set near our school.

"Actually, we didnt have to run away from the securities, they wouldn't know if we finished cleaning or not, as long as they see us leave, they could've finished their duties early..." I said.

"Precisely," he said, "I went out of school in such a way for fun, and to make the securities' jobs harder, for fun."

He slurped his ramyun and ate like he never did for years.

"Everything to you is for fun?" I asked him.

"Yeah, we live only once, why would you listen to the cruel adults and only spend days studying, cracking your brains apart. Eventually you'll get old and die with no fun."

I found some truth in what he said.

"Explains why you don't do your work in school," I said. "But why do you still do graded tasks?"

"I have to survive too, don't I?" he answered, "there's nothing available for me in future for if I don't have any of... whatever you call knowledge."

I nodded and ate my food.

After he was done eating, he wiped his mouth and stood up.

"You pay," he said and walked away, and left.

"YAH KIM TAEHYUNG!" I shouted.

Everyone else that was eating looked at me. I looked down in embarrassment and quickly paid the ahjumma.

I ran after him and kicked his leg. "Why'd you make me pay! You owe me 5000 won!"

"When the pigs can fly, I'll pay you," he said and simply walked on. I rolled my eyes and walked along.

"Why are you following me?" He suddenly asked.

I glanced at my watch, it was 8 and about to be 9. The streets were kinda dark, and I dare not walk home alone.

"Well, um nothing. My house is just there," I pointed to the direction infront where we were walking towards.

"Don't lie, your house is the other way. I know because I stalked you and I was the one who put that fake lizard in your shoes that you left outside the other day," he said.

I glared at him, "SO IT WAS REALLY YOU!"

"Shut up and go," he said and continued walking.

I immediately turned and walked the opposite way, although a little reluctant. I have to walk through a short, dark alley to get home, and its scary during the night.

As I got nearer to the alley that I fear most, I heard loud conversations, like men's.

Braving myself, I hastened my steps and tried to walk through the alley, convincing myself that nothing would happen to me, its a short alley anyways.

While walking, I noticed there were 2 men smoking in the alley and in the dim street lights I could see their tattoos. I walked past them fast, avoiding eye contacts but I could feel their eyes on me.

"Hey, look at that fine little sweetie," One of them said.

Shit, should I run. What am I gonna do. Please don't harm me, please don't.

Lots of thoughts went through my mind just with that one sentence. I knew they were going to do something to me, my steps were getting faster and faster and my breath was getting heavier. The short alley suddenly felt like a long journey.

I heard footsteps behind me, and I saw shadows which I believed were theirs. My heartbeat was really beating fast I felt like my heart was falling out.

The shadows got closer and clearer. I finally tried to make a run for it, but it was too late.

My arm was gripped tight and I turned around to see a man with scars on his face. "Why'd you run, honey," he said and pulled me closer, I smelled smoke from his breath and I was getting weak, I hate that smell.

"What do you want, let go of me!" I attempted to wriggle my arm out of his grip but knew it was hopeless because he was masculine.

"Shhh," the other man shushed me, "we just want you."

He smirked and touched my shoulder. I shook, I was really terrified but I managed to kick him in his balls and he fell to the ground in vain.

"How dare you, sweetie, you wanna play rough?" The other man whom was gripping on my arm provoked me. He pushed me against a wall and smirked.

I attempted to kick his, too, but before I did he was already stepping on my feet.

"How smart, but too slow."

"LET ME GO!" I shouted in his face and was bearing the pain in my feet because he was stepping on them a little bit too hard.

I screamed for help, hoping someone would hear me but he managed to stifle my screams by covering my mouth.

"Shut up or I will break you-"

"I'LL BREAK YOU FIRST!" A voice said and the man that was holding me against the wall was sent to the ground by a punch.

"Who the hell are you?!" The man shouted.

"None of your business," Taehyung said.

I was breathing really hard and was panicking.

Taehyung went to him to give another punch, but failed when the man managed to catch his arm and brought him to the ground.

"Don't act like you're a hero, little boy," the man said and gave Taehyung a punch.

I flinched and my legs were jelly, I didn't know what to do.

Luckily, in the corner of my eye, I saw a wooden plank about the size of an arm. I slowly picked it up and whacked the man hard on his back. He instantly let go of Taehyung because of the excruciating pain.

Taehyung, although hurt, quickly got up and grabbed my hand, and we both ran fast to a safer place.

We were not too far from my house and we finally stopped, panting, and we let go of each other's hands.

"V?" I called him.

He was catching his breath and he looked at me. "W-what?"

I touched his face, where there was a scar, and it was bleeding.

He pushed my hand away, "Go home."

"But-"

"GO!" He coldly shouted at me. My eyes became watery and I took heavy steps home. When I reached the front of my gate, I turned behind but he wasn't there anymore. I sighed, and went in.
