Albert held his head low. He never expected to be in his best suit carrying his own child down the aisle at church in her small Sesame Street coffin. He had tears spilling from his eyes and he was doing no effort to stop himself. He puts the coffin down and takes his husband's hand.

His large hands open the lid. He strokes his daughter's cheek and sobs, opening the casket fully and picking her up. She was too young. Only four years old and went missing while at the park. Her fathers were looking after her but they lost her for one second and she was gone. When they found her, she was so close to death's door, the men decided to let her go.

"You have to let her go," Elmer whispers, putting his head on Albert's shoulder. "She is at peace."

Albert shakes his head. "I can't," he sobs. His tears ran down the small girl's cheek as he put her back in her casket. He opens his jacket and takes out a small Big Bird stuffed animal and puts it under her arm.

"I don't want to say goodbye," he cried, giving his daughter a kiss and closing the lid. "I'll see you again, Sweet Girl."

Albert shoots up. He stands up and trudges into the bathroom, looking in the mirror and brushing his hair back. He leaves the bedroom silently and checks his daughter's bedroom to see her asleep with a small Big Bird stuffed animal tucked under her arm

"She looks comfy," Elmer whispers, wrapping his arm around his waist. "Why are you awake?"

"Bad dream," Albert whispers, hugging his husband after closing the door. "Shall we go to the bedroom?"

Elmer nods. "What was it about?"

"We went to the park and little miss had gone missing. When we found her she was too far gone and we were having the funeral."

"Bubbas," Elmer coos. "There is nothing you need to worry about. She is perfectly safe."

Albert leads his husband to bed and grins. "I hope so. Now, the only thing that will help me go back to sleep are snuggles from my favorite husband."

Elmer giggles and lays next to Albert, the latter curling into his husband's chest. "Goodnight, Babes."

"Goodnight, Bubbas. Sleep well."
