Defeating Retak'ka, I have achieved.

The world around me swayed slowly

Falling

I finally realized

Everything moved fast when I only felt as if I'm falling slowly and as light as a feather.

.

.

I felt my back hitting the thin layer of ice below me. My lungs ached

I was drowning

.

The water was freezing, the cold pricking my body to numbness. Vision blurred from the water.

.

I slowly sank down. I felt something grabbing one of my hands from below.

I let it be, my body was unable to protest.

.

And then, despite my blurry vision, I saw my friends swimming down to me from the surface, grabbing my other hand when one of them reached me, to pull me to the surface.

.

.

Exhaustion seeped in as I went unconscious before seeing a blinding white light luminating the river.
