Liah pov
"Jahseh, why are you keeping things from me?"I asked as I stared down at Xiorra, she was fast asleep in my arms
"w-what?"He stuttered looking down at his fingers
"Tell me what happened with my parents"I said
"Oh, right um look Liah..I don't wanna stress you out-"
"Jahseh, nothing can stress me out anymore"I smiled down at Xiorra
He nodded "well they're okay, they both shot each other you're mom is on the 7th floor and you Dad is on the 10th"
I quickly looked at him "That's where people in comas be"I said
"He's currently unresponsive Li"He replied
I nodded and shook my head "well, like I said nothing can stress me out anymore.."
Suddenly Jahseh stood up and walked towards us. "I love both of you so much"He brushed Xiorra's small cheek with is thumb
"And we love too"I smiled up at him
"Her feeding time is 30 minutes"I added
Jahseh nodded and continued to look at Xiorra. I squinted my eyes at Jahseh and noticed a bit of an energy shift. He hasn't looked me in the eyes for a while and he always makes eye contact with me. In fact, he's been acting weird since he got that phone call earlier.
"Everything okay?"I asked him
He didn't answer, his eyes were on Xiorra he was zoned out. I waved my hand in his face causing him to blink multiple times.
"Huh?"He asked, finally looking me in the eyes
"I asked was everything okay?"I replied
"Yeah, Yeah! everything's perfect"He smiled
"Jah, I know you just as much as you know me..who called you earlier?"
"Stokeley"He answered, almost immediately
"Well, what did he say because you've been acting weird"
"John, contacted him and said that..you know..congratulations"He nodded
"Welllll, why didn't John just call you to tell you that? doesn't he have your phone number?"I asked him
"Yeah, but he-"
"Jahseh, I've learned a lot of things while being with you and one of them is you lie just to spare my feelings, come on we need to be more mature...no more lies remember?" I uttered
"Yeah, so that wasn't Stokeley on the phone"he sighed
