JORDAN CAMPBELL was not the ditzy cheerleader everyone thought her to be. In fact, the only reason she became a cheerleader was because her best friend, Chrissy Cunningham, asked her to do it with her, not wanting to be alone when it came to the hell that high school. Cheerleading was something she despised but if it kept her friend happy, Jordan would keep at it for however long she needed. She didn't care about everyone's assumptions about her and made no attempt to dispel them. She let people believe whatever they wanted, it had nothing to do with her.

 

COME FRESHMAN YEAR, Jordan is already one of the most popular girls in her year. Her high school years pass by with her being on top of the food chain even though it was all a false front. She was on her way to becoming captain of the cheerleading team, she was dating the sweetheart of the basketball team, Elias Burton. She was the type of person to be seen in everything designer and kept up with everything popular. She was in the perfect relationship with the perfect friends, the perfect grades and the perfect family. At least that was what the school thought.

   

THOUGH EVERYTHING ELSE was, to the most point, true, Jordan's relationship was not. The truth was, Elias and she grew up together. Born within the same month and neighbours their entire life. Everyone expected them to end up together. When Jordan started high school, she was overwhelmed with confessions and didn't have the heart to break other people's hearts so she sought the help of Elias who was going through a similar issue. They would pretend to date to ward off other people, amongst other reasons, until they had finished high school.
