March 15

Prime Minister's Office, Tokyo, Japan

The fleet's headquarters notified the Japanese government that the Japan-US Joint Fleet had contacted Savia Iliam, the third princess of the Altian Empire, and Sitos Sphinoid, Minister of Military Affairs. The Japanese government, aware of their intentions and demands, had begun work on a document to communicate their requirements.

"Then may I present this requirement to the Altian Empire as a Joint Declaration?"

A cabinet official presented the contents of the prepared document and asked PM Kojiro Izumikawa for his content.

"...Hm, no problem," Izumikawa answered after a pause.

He then bowed and left, watching the back official as he left, and thought about the contents of the document he had just received.

'I wonder what in the world that document is in response to. It's almost the same as 'that one'...'

On March 15, a reply was sent from the Japanese government to the revolutionary forces of the Altian Empire. It was delivered to Savia and others via Force Recon, which had infiltrated the capital from the headquarters of the Japan-US Joint Fleet.

Same day

Temple of Wilcock, Custefai, Altian Empire

Sergeant Davis of the US Marine Corps presented Savia and Sitos with the contents sent by the Japanese government.

"This... is the demand from the Japanese government to the Altian Empire. You must assume that the Japanese government has no other option but to accept the peace."

"I'll take a look."

Savia accepted a sheet of paper from Sergeant Davis with what appeared to be trepidation. It contained the following clause in Wirenian language.

. . .

Joint Declaration of the Three Countries

- The Prime Minister of Japan, the Supreme Director of the Union of the Far Eastern Maritime Nations, and the representatives of the Provisional Government of the Seiren Kingdom, in consultation with and on behalf of their peoples, have agreed to give the Altian Empire (hereinafter referred to as 'the Empire') the opportunity to end the war.

- Our conditions are as follows. We make no concessions on these, and no other conditions exist.

- We maintain that there can be no peace and security in the East until hegemony is removed from the Empire. Therefore, the power and influence of those who have caused the mistake of starting this war shall be permanently removed.

- Until hegemony is eradicated from the Empire, the regions of the Empire should be occupied in order to achieve our objectives.

- The Empire should reflect on its past invasions and plunder and recognize the independence of all vassal states and territories that wish to become independent.

- The Empire should renounce all interests it possesses outside the territories designated by Japan.

- We have no intention to oppress the people of the Empire, but we will mete out severe punishment to all war criminals.

- The Empire should be allowed to maintain its industries to allow for the collection of just compensation.

When the aforementioned objectives have been achieved and a peaceful government has been established in accordance with the will of the Empire's people, the occupying forces of Japan shall immediately withdraw from the Empire. The Empire shall be permitted to possess an armed organization with a minimum defense capability under the supervision and guidance of Japan.
