Tw: Suicide attempts and mention of a past suicide attempt

                      "You're enough."

"Lilith, why are you even following us?" Allison groaned. God, this girl was getting on her nerves.

"Cause you guys are acting suspicious and I want to know why," she answered honestly. "What are you even looking for?"

Her cousin and Lydia kept looking around every corner, as if they were searching for something. They shrugged, not wanting to give away too much to her. They didn't trust her. Like, at all.

Lydia felt as if her heart was going to explode as she dropped to her knees. "Oh God."

Jade was lying on the floor, sprawled out in different directions. Lydia lay her on her side, placing her head on the girl's chest, trying to see if she was breathing.

She wasn't.

"What has she done?" Lilith asked, standing frozen with wide eyes.

Allison kneeled down beside Lydia, the two girls talking over each other. The brunette searched the floor, picking up a bottle beside Jade.

"How many of those is she meant to take?" Lilith squeaked. She was still not moving. She couldn't do this. She picked her feet up, stumbling away.

"Four in the evening," Allison said as she started to move the girl's hair out of her face. "Lilith!" she shouted, but she was already gone.

Lydia started to hyperventilate, but tried to control her breathing. This was all their fault. Why hadn't they moved quicker? Why hadn't they realised she'd been gone for way too long? They couldn't let this happen. They wouldn't let this happen. She started doing CPR, praying under her breath. She didn't even know if it would work, but it was better than doing nothing.

Allison tipped out the contents of the bottle, counting how many were there. There was still the right amount gone. She furrowed her brows, picking up a pill. Something looked different. As she crushed it beneath her fingers, she felt her breath catch in her throat. "Mountain ash."

Jade shot forward, coughing and throwing her guts up into her lap. She began to sob, not having a clue what had happened. Lydia rubbed her back soothingly as the blonde finally got a grip on her surroundings.

"We need to find the others and get out of here."

Jade sat down on the edge of the bath, breathing in deeply. Allison was right. They needed to get out of here. She'd already changed her clothes; she was just trying to compose herself now. Melissa could never find out about this. She'd send her to a psych ward straight away, no questions asked.

Sighing, she stood up and splashed water on her face. Catching a glance of herself in the mirror, she bit her cheek to stop herself from bursting into tears again. Her hair was in tangles, even after she'd tried desperately to straighten it out. The black shirt she was wearing made her skin look even paler than what it actually was. Her features looked disoriented; her lips too full, her eyes too big, her cheekbones too prominent.

A knock on the bathroom door snapped her out of picking at all of her flaws. "Jade? Open the door," Max's panicked voice sounded from outside. Wiping her face on her sleeve, she stepped outside. "Did you try and kill yourself again?" he whispered.

"Will you shut up? That was years ago. I didn't do this on purpose. It's this stupid motel," she hissed, closing the door behind her. She sighed while he was trying to see if there was any sincerity to her words. "I promise, I'm fine."
