"Hey.." started dream toward the woman who save his brother

"Hm?" The woman hums in knowledge about his existence as she turn her gaze toward his bald head

"A-are you.. " started dream slowly while the woman patiently waited for what his question is

"Are you a fairy godmother in disguise!?" Asked dream excitedly while he tried looking for a trace of butterfly wings on her back

'huh?'

'hah?'
Thought both y/n and inner nightmare as they stare at dream with confusion written on their faces

Nightmare nudges at y/n shoulder, signaling her to 'play along with his brother or he'll finds out' but she seems hesitant to do so since she has never interacted with a fairy god mother before 

Y/n let out a fake scoff to pull dream attention at her (it work)

"Ahem.. yes my dear..? It is i, the fairy godmother here to assist you" she says pulling out a wooden stick from her back with a gentle smile on her face

Nightmare tried his best not to laugh as he watches y/n. Though he failed anyways and let out a small giggle after that

'man i did her dirty'

'what kind of dirty are we talking about?'

Nightmare ignores what his inner self says as he continues on watching over y/n interaction with his brother

y/n pov:

i tried giving nightmare a hint. Something like asking for help but it seems like he couldn't understand what im saying, man he just wave it off like it was nothing.

the moment i pay attention back to the bright twin brother, i tried my best to act just like the 'fairy god-mother' as i spin around myself with the 'magical wand' in my hand which is a normal stick. Personally, in my opinion it looks very fake but weirdly dream seems to be amazed by this so i tried showing it off more, as i bonk dream head with the wand. a magic 'dust' appear instantly making it look like it is a real magic.

I smiled with pride as i then look over at dream to see his reaction. My smile fell as i saw how his eyes was able to change a pupils

'it can't be.. how..' 

my mind was then overwhelmed with the possibilities that dream could have aswell been involved with my god hood problem. i then desperately look away from him with sweats rolling down my head  

'if he is then i will have no choice but to investigate more about him and his brother nightmare..

No wait. How come have i never questioned about his life before? Sitting beside a tree all day isn't normal.. at all.. but he's not a mortal nor a normal monster which is very weird of me to consider this something ordinary' she thought in her head as she then turn her head toward the tree of feelings in suspicion

Narrator pov?:

Nightmare notice how y/n Is acting unusual all of the sudden after she saw dream expression.

He look over at dream, as dream look back at nightmare confused why isn't she happy aswell with him

Suddenly y/n starts moving closely to the tree of feelings. It made nightmare feel.. concerned on what she was about to do.. nightmare hurriedly walk over to his brother side and tug on his shirt

Dream hums and tugs back nightmare shirt, both communicating telepathically

[dream] [nightmare]

'what is up with her, brother?'

'i am not sure my dear brother... I am too getting confused and kinda worried for no reason..'

'should we stop her from getting too close to the tree?'

'well our job IS to protect the tree.so of course let's go'

They keep their eyes on her warily as they both gets nearer her even more. As nightmare was about to pat her shoulder, she suddenly spoke out the name of the real guardian.

"Nim"
Says y/n with no emotions on her face whatsoever as she calls out for the real guardian of the tree of feelings. Which is dead and is now a spirit.

Both nightmare and dream froze as their eyes widen in shock and confusion. But Dream bravely walk up to her and put his hand on her shoulder, patting it a little
"hey miss.. are you okay? I'm not trying to be mean here but the way you are acting right now is getting quite strange to me" nightmare nods on dream statement as he agrees with what his brother says

Inner nightmare then spoke up in his head
'why isn't she saying anything?'

'what?'

'she would usually responds fast enough unless it's something she has no knowledge about so why is she so quiet?'

'i guess you do have a point.. should i go talk to her aswell?'

'did you forgot you're a pussy?'

'shut it you can't even pull a girl.. even worse a friend!'

While nightmare was having his own arguement with himself. Y/n was whispering something to the tree as she blocks dream from hearing what she is saying to the tree

Dream gives up from trying to know what she was saying to the tree as he then sat down on the grass waiting for her to finish her therapy talk with the tree

3 minutes later

"Dream.."
Dream perks up at the sound of his 'fairy god mother' he hurriedly walk over to her side like a lost puppy
"i feel.. tired, may i go home?" She asked him with the closed eyes and a smile that was starting to come back onto her face

"Eh? You're tired? Don't worry! I'll share you some of my ener-"

"Alright see you tomorrow " y/n pats dream head as she disappears into a thin air

'woah.. she's so cool.. i would like to meet her again if i could' dream put his palms over his mouth as he let out the most girliest scream ever while his brother watches dream in disgust from fangirling over y/n

'are you sure that's Your brother?'

'Dont mind that, it's normal for him..'

'i smell lies'

'bro you literally live in my mind, the hell do ya mean you could smell??'

'ugh you're too easy to get irritated'

'um hello?? You wanna fight? I'll beat your ass in my dream tonight'

'you can't even make a first move on a girl, i doubt you could ever touch me'
