"Stupid rules," Cassie muttered as she threw a dagger at a stuffed dummy. She tried getting her anger and frustration out at the dummy, but it was just making her more aggravated.

She screamed as she threw her third to last dagger at the head of the stuffed dummy, causing it to rip apart from the body and fall to the floor.

"I don't think anything the dummy did deserved that," a voice chuckled from behind Cassie.

She turned around to look at them, but there was no one there. Cassie turned back around, searching the area for whoever it was.

"You won't find me," the voice snickered.

Cassie turned around just in time to see Sigyn materialize in the air, coming at her. She cursed and rolled to the side to avoid Sigyn's daggers. She realized she made a mistake as Sigyn took her two remaining daggers from the ground and teleported them away.

Sigyn smirked and jumped at her. Cassie hopped back to avoid her, searching her brain for something to use as a weapon. If she used her powers to, even, defend herself, Odin would send her back to the dungeons.

Sigyn swung at her, and she ducked to avoid it, then knocked one of the daggers out of her hand, quickly stumbling back. Sigyn actually looked a little impressed and surprised that Cassie could do that, but she didn't hesitate to swing again at her. Cassie narrowly missed getting her eye stabbed out, but when she raised a hand to her cheek, it came back bloody.

She made a noise that sounded like a growl, and flipped over a hand, summoning energy, which she used to cover her hand and deliver a punch to Sigyn's stomach.

Sigyn hardly flinched, not even missing a beat as she threw an energy ball at Cassie, knocking her back. Cassie let part of her original form show, letting her fingernails extend like claws.

Sigyn summoned a second dagger, and they started trading blows. Swipe and duck. Punch the stomach, then face, and teleport behind. They were soon both out of breath with small scratches all over their bodies. It was more of a fair fight when Cassie used her powers.

Cassie started summoning more energy to hit Sigyn, when she heard a familiar voice. "Lady Cassie!" Thor. She quickly let the energy go, and stood in a more relaxed pose—as much as she could with Sigyn right in front of her.

Thor approached her, smiling at them both, clearly assuming they were just doing some friendly sparring.

"My father would like to speak with you," Thor told Cassie.

She cursed under her breath. Could Odin already know she used her powers? She was only defending herself!

She nodded and Sigyn smirked at her as she walked away with Thor. He led her to the throne room, and he bowed on one knee, while Cassie curtsied a step behind him.

After what felt like an eternity of awkward silence on the ground, Odin spoke. "You may rise." Cassie and Thor both stood up. "Thor, you are dismissed."

"But-" Thor tried protesting.

"You. Are. Dismissed," Odin said more forcefully, pronouncing every word separately. Thor frowned, but bowed his head and left, leaving Cassie alone with Odin and his guards. Surprisingly, Queen Frigga was not with him.

"Do you know what happens when someone breaks a deal I made with them?" Odin asked, and she understood that it was a rhetorical question, so she stayed silent. "I take their life. And you, you...runt...you broke a deal I made with you. And now, you're going to die."

He had this evil glint in his eye as if he wanted this to happen. He banged his staff on the ground, and the dozen, or so, guards surrounding the room, ran at her, their weapons aimed at her.

Cassie transformed into her regular wolf form, and bared her fangs at them all. It wasn't likely that she could take them all on her own, so she focused on the ones blocking her from the door, and jumped at them. She bit one of their legs, piercing his flesh through the armor, and causing him to cry out and drop his sword. The next guard seemed like he was new, shaking with fear, so she was able to easily slip in between his legs, still causing him to stumble and fall to the ground, but unharmed.

Cassie turned to growl at Odin, and raced out the doors, pushing past terrified villagers, into the forest where she hid in the shadows.

A couple of days later, Loki knocked on Cassie's door. "Are you alright? Lad- Cassie, I haven't seen you in two days." He frowned when he heard no noise. Not even a peep. He opened the door a crack, waiting to hear a protest, and opening it all the way when he didn't hear one.

He was confused to see the room empty. Loki left back into his room and closed her door. He thought about where she would be, and figured the library was his best bet. So he left his room and went to the library, saddened to find it empty. He checked every small room, and double checked to make sure. He continued his search around the palace.

He checked every room, and even the outside areas for her, when he gave up. She wasn't in the palace anymore. He trudged back inside, and went to his mother's room, knocking softly on the door.

"Come in, dear!" She called from inside her room.

Loki opened the door and walked in, closing it behind him. Queen Frigga took one look at him and immediately knew something was wrong.

"Oh, Loki, what is it?"

Loki sat down on the couch across from her, and put his head in his hands as he explained the situation, that Cassie had disappeared.
