Two days have passed, two days of having a massive headache and two days of having constant nightmares. I feel so drained, I don't want to talk to anyone, I don't want to see anyone but I know I can't do that. For the past two nights, Santiago has kept me close to him so that I wouldn't feel scared but every time I close my eyes all I see is them.

Tonight we were going out for family dinner with both of our families since we haven't had one ever since our wedding. I was sat in my office writing up some paperwork for some new car parts and trying to settle some accounts.

After getting married, I left Isabel to settle the work for me since I took some time off. She's an absolute queen for helping me out. Not only that, Santiago kept our deal of letting me use his hotels for any events and sharing the profit amongst our companies.

My phone kept buzzing on the desk which was annoying the hell out of me.

My stupido brothers again.

Lucas 💙: Rei I miss you 😭

My twin: Not more than I do. Mi hermanita I miss you sooooo much

Me: I see you two later on tonight... weirdos

Lucas 💙: BUT I MISS YOU REINA, COME BACK HOME 😭😭😭 Thiago and Matias are boring as fuck.

My twin: Says you bro- I'm the fun one. Right Rei?

Me: Matias, a little help?

Matias 🔪: We miss you my angel. The house is so boring- and your brothers are annoying donkeys.

Me: Hermanos, I'll see you tonight okay? I miss the three of you more <3

I put my phone down, turning it on silent so I could actually get some work done. At the same time, Isabel walks in with some food and I knew instantly what they were.

"Someone ordered pistachio macarons?" She lifts a smile on her face and I shake my head slightly in amusement because she bought them for me without asking.

"Izzy- you keep spoiling me with food." I stand up and we both go sit on the sofa to eat. I open the box to inhale the smell of roasty but sweet macarons.

"I'm not your best friend for no reason," She takes one out, so do I, "And I know you've been having a massive headache for the past two days so I knew these would help." She mumbles as she chews, I couldn't help but giggle at her.

"I've still got to finish the paperworks." I tilt my head back to my desk to see the pile of folders and I groan while I stuff my face with another macaron.

"I'll do it, go home and take some rest. I'll see you for dinner anyways."

"Are you sure babe? I'll stay and we can work on them together. Plus Santiago won't be home." I swallow the remaining macaron and with the thought of thinking about Santi, I've realised that I miss his presence.

"Go home Rei, I'll take care of it. Sleep for a bit and make sure you drink lots of water." She says, pressing her hand on top of mine.

"Izzy-"

"Reina Valiente, go home right now or I'm kicking your ass." She tries to say it in a scolding voice but she ended up laughing after finishing her sentence. I burst into laughter, shaking my head as I pull her into a hug.

Oh my- Reina Valiente sounds so good coming out of someone else's mouth.

"Okay I'll go home but if you need anything and I mean it, call me straight away," I pull apart from her and she nods as yes. "I'll see you later on tonight."
