Saving Miitopia (title subject to change)

Chapter Four- The Thief

The early morning rays of sunlight flitted through the inn's windows, and a very tired group of travelers was fast asleep. That is, until...

DING DONG!

The doorbell rang loudly, shocking them awake. "What the devil's food cake was that?" Serena groans, "I was dreaming..." She rubs her eyes as she walks to the inn's front door. When it opened, a boy with hair dyed a brown and blue ombre, brown eyes, and fair skin stood in front of her. "Who are you?-" She asks tiredly.

"Oh, my name's Daniel, and I'm a thief! I was summoned here by a guardian spirit who pleaded with me to help save Miitopia or something, so here I am!"

"I've heard that story before..." Serena mumbles.

"Huh?- Well, it's nice to meet you, what's your name?"

"My name's Serena!" She said, "It's nice to meet you too- What a minute..." Serena thought for a second. She looked at him then turned around and looked towards the sleeping quarters. "What did you say your name was...?" She looks back at him, trying to hold back her laughter.

"Daniel, why?"

"Well uh... ya see, there's a frumpy emo in the party that also happens to be named Daniel..."

"Um... okay. I guess you can call me Danny instead then. Anyways, are we going to adventure?" He inquired.

"Yeah... Let me go make sure they're awake really quick..." She says. She smirked, and turns around.

Danny watched as Serena zipped into the inn's kitchen, grabbed a pot and a pan, then run back just as fast to where the rooms were. He also watched (and covered his ears) as slammed the kitchenware together and screamed "WAKE UP MOTHERFUCKERS IT'S TIME TO ADVENTURE!" It was truly a spectacle to watch.

A few minutes later she emerged from the hallway dragging two groaning party members, who were both glaring at her. "Let's go!" She said enthusiastically, and the party was off to adventure.

"C'mon, team! We can do this!" Serena shouts as they trudge through the woods, "We've got to find that face!" Yoshubi shuddered as a snake slithered past their foot. "Why are we here, Serena?" They ask, "This place has so many critters..."

"Well, obviously that means that the face must be near!" She replied.

"Yup, totally..."

"Let's go this way!" Serena shouts, "I think I see a chest!"

Hearing this, they scuttle along faster. The chest was larger than all of them, and it was painted a greenish blue with golden accents.

Serena lifts off the lid, revealing some thief's gear. "Hey Danny, I think this is for you!" She tosses the gear to Danny, who literally dives into a bush to put it on. (Lol)

Daniel watches this silently. Or, well, at least almost silently... "Faker..." He mutters under his breath. Danny jumps out of the bush, with his new gear on. Serena compliments him, and they keep walking. Yoshubi pretends they didn't hear what Daniel said. Maybe it was the wickedly sharp sword hanging in Daniel's scabbard, the angry expression he wore on his face, or they were just too tired to care. It could have been all of the above.

Somewhere along the road, Serena is tackled by a... smiling mushroom?-

"What in the butterfly honey is that thing?!" Danny shrieks, as he draws his dagger. He slashes at it, causing it to get off her and turn towards him instead. Daniel takes this as an opportunity to use Jump Slash, slicing the mushroom clean in half.

"Phew, that was close..." Serena muttered solemnly, "Oh, and Danny? You have my thanks." She nods towards him, smiling.

"No problem!" he sheepishly replied.
