Inner demons

The sound of glass shattering echoed through the halls. A head of dark hair popped up from the ground, now completely alert. She blinked away the sleep in her eyes and began to yawn. All signs of being tired had disappeared however as the sound of something heavy hitting the ground became apparent.

She flinched at the noise as it continued, random smashes and banging with no logical reason. Her master had gone out to meet with fellow slave owners. No one else dares to step foot in this house out of fear. She had to be home alone, and yet there were signs someone was going through the house.

She let out a scared whimper as she watched her master's display vase fly through the door frame and heard it smash on the other side of the hallway. Master had her door removed after realising she could lock it from the inside. If this person decided to walk past she would easily be spotted on the ground where she lay.

She took a moment, scanning the room, but there was nothing for her to use in self defence. She let out a shuddering breath as the footsteps grew louder. Her heart was pounding in her ears. She didn't know what to do. She was only a child, and she might just die by the hand of some idiot with a death wish.

As this thought hit her, the intruders form became present in the doorway. She held her breath as she watched him. He'd slowly turned his head to face her and just as his eyes made contact her feet began to move on there own , her body slamming into his side as she pushed herself from the ground.

In that moment it was fight or flight, and she knew she had no way to overpower him.

The second his body hit the floor, she got up and started running for the front door. She was on the second floor, so she had to reach the stairs before even considering the idea of making her escape. She let her feet carry her through the halls, the sound of the floor under her feet was almost sickening as a burning sensation overwhelmed the bottom of her feet.

She saw the stairway and began to skid in an attempt to turn, but only managed to have the man tackle her side and throw her to the ground. The sound of something snapping erupted from her ribcage and pain burst through her body as a shrill scream escaped her. For a moment everything turned black.

Aizawa looked up at the girl with shock. For a moment he wasn't even sure he'd heard correctly, but one look at her face and he'd refused to leave it at this.

"You sure about this?"

The question hovered for a moment before she gave a small nod. She seemed nervous as she shifted from foot to foot. It was almost like she was scared of what he might say.

"You want to start attending classes... With 1-b?"

Once again, a nod.

Aizawa's eye twitched at the thought. Vlad would really never let him live that down.

"Can I ask why?" He managed to growl out between clenched teeth. He wasn't going to say no, but he at least wanted a good reason first.

"A couple of them agreed to help me study the subjects. It's not that I'm not greatful for the effort Hizashi, Ectoplasm and Cementoss are doing... But sometimes they make it hard to understand... I just want to try math first, pleeeeaaaaase?" She begged. She actually got down on her knees, hands clasped together and was begging Aizawa for this. He looked at those puppy dog eyes she seemed to know how to play and groaned.

"I'll talk to Nezu about it," he mumbled turning away. Surebu jumped up in excitement at the news. She was sure that Aizawa would deny her request simply because of Vlad. She gave slight bounces over the room before finally going to sit in Mic's office chair.

She'd swung around through the room, making sure to avoid hitting anyone. She absolutely loved Mic's chair better than anyone elses. It was up to all of Mic's standards, one could only assume it was a chair of the highest capabilities. Present Mic made sure the chair was more than capable of endless entertainment. It had to be able to roll around on any given surface no matter what. It had a foot rest AND could turn into a horizontal position. It was the ultimate chair for both relaxation and entertainment!

Yet here Surebu was, using it for skating on the carpet surface of the office. All Might sat at his desk, watching her push herself from one side of the room to the other. He took a moment to glance at Aizawa, but once seeing the lost look in the others eyes, he couldn't bring himself to speak. After all, they were trained to fight the villains. Not someone's inner demons...
