Imogen Halstead (age 10)
Word count: 920

Wills POV

I'm simply just trying to speed without getting caught right now. Imogen's school just called me asking if I could pop into the office to discuss an incident regarding Imogen.  I can't help but wonder what she's done now, given that she's always getting into trouble nowadays...

Once I reach the school I head straight for the office, dreading what Imogen's done this time... I'm instantly welcomed into the office to see that Imogen is nowhere to be seen which is unlike every other time I've been called in here.

"I'm glad you could make it, please take a seat" the principal smiles weakly. I nod and sit down, "what did she do this time?" I sigh.  He chuckles and shakes his head, "absolutely nothing, Will" he sighs too.  I sit up straighter, "oh, is she okay?" I look around, double checking that she's not in here.  He slowly shakes his head, "not really" he admits.  I furrow my brows and nod for him to explain, "I'm sure you're aware that her class had swimming class today. Well there's a few girls in Imogen's class who decided to start causing trouble. They made a few comments about Imogen being too short and in their words 'twiggy', Imogen got a little upset so we dealt with it but you know what girls are like..." he smiles sadly.  I'm growing angry...

"One of the girls decided to push Imogen into the pool, and Imogen hit her head off of the stairs. She's sleeping in the nurses office right now. But whilst that was going on in the pool area, the rest of the girls were vandalising Imogen's clothing" he sighs. I shake my head in disgust, "I assure you we dealt with it right away. The girls parents have all been informed, and the students responsible for this unacceptable bullying, have been expelled. The parents of the girls who ruined Imogen's clothes have stated that they will replace anything that's ruined" the man adds.

"Thanks for dealing with it. I can't believe how horrible kids can be these days" I run a hand over my face. He nods, "definitely, but I assure you it will never happen again" He smiles weakly again. I nod thankfully, "am I alright to take her home?" I enquire.  He nods and leads the way, I follow eagerly before he lets me enter the nurses office to wake Imogen up.

She's laying on the bed with an ice pack on her head, but she isn't asleep.  She begins crying at the sight of me and I waste no time in pulling her in for a hug, "I wanna go home" she sobs.  I rub her back as she buries her face into my shirt, "we're going home now, alright? It's okay..." I soothe her.  She sighs weakly and nods before standing up, and I notice that she's stuck wearing lost property clothing.

"Can you tell me what those girls said to you?" I sigh as I help her throw her backpack into the car.  She shakes her head and closes the door, "I don't wanna" she buckles herself up as I follow suit.  I frown, "it'll help..." I suggest, "I don't wanna talk" she shakes her head eagerly.  I nod, "alright, maybe later then" I decide.  She slowly nods and I respect her feelings, she needs a supportive big brother, not just a over protective big brother for once.

Jays POV

Will called me earlier, telling me that we needed to chat when I got home. But he didn't tell me why... So as I walk through the door, I instantly begin my search for my siblings. It's currently 8:25pm and I'm surprised to see Imogen still sat in the kitchen when I enter. Will looks up at me from where he's stood, and Imogen keeps her head down as she fiddles with the table cloth, her legs crossed on the chair, "what's going on?" I set my things down.

"Imogen got pushed into a pool today, her clothes were ruined and she got called names. The school dealt with it, but I think it's time we have a chat with each other immy..." he nods at me. I look down at Imogen to see the nasty bruise on her forehead, "I'm not telling you what they said" she sighs. I look back up at Will in confusion, "why not, baby?" I sit down next to her. She shakes her head, "it's my problem, not yours" she cries. I shake my head too, "it is our problem Imogen, if people are bullying you then we need to know" I squeeze her shoulder as Will takes a seat on the other side.

"They called me twiggy and short-ass, then she pushed me in the pool..." she sobs. I shake my head, "who did, immy?" I cradle the side of her head. She sniffles, "Annabeth" she shrugs. I look up at Will, "the school have dealt with it, the girls involved are expelled. You don't need to interfere" he warns me. I nod, knowing I'll only make this ten times worse if I show up at these kids houses. I look over at Imogen to see that she's embarrassed, "you need to come to us if this ever happens again. It's not okay what these girls did to you, got it?" Will adds. She slowly nods, "I love you both" she whispers. We love you too, immy...
