Cara and Calum were the second and third people in the venue. They had been allowed in about ten minutes earlier than everyone else since they had been waiting in line so long.
The band had noticed their perseverance and allowed the first ten people in earlier than everyone else. Cara cried. Calum held her.
"Do you think we'll meet them?" Cara asked shyly, as her and Calum were looking at the band merch.
Cara wanted to pick up one of the signed posters they had and the Tell Her You Love Her shirt while Calum wanted a simple shirt with the name Echosmith on it and a rubber bracelet to add to his collection, amongst the Green Day and All Time Low ones.
Cara hugged Calum as they grabbed their new merchandise and walked towards the cardboard cutout the band had. Cara said she wanted to win it and Calum was willing to help her. He wanted to see her happy.
"Just take a picture with the sign and use the hashtag Echosmith L-A for the chance to win it after the show," the guy explained, pointing towards the standee.
Cara slowly walked up and Calum smiled, encouraging her to take a picture. She decided to go and sit, with her legs crossed, in the middle of Sydney and Graham. She wished it was real.
Calum said a joke which made her smile more widely before he took the picture. Cara laughed as she got up and got handed back her phone.
"Can you message this to me and I'll make sure to post it as well?" Calum asked and Cara nodded her head in agreement.
Cara added a slight filter so that it'd match her other pictures before she sent it to Calum and Calum smiled once he had gotten it. He thought she looked adorable with her baggy shirt and skirt with the flowers braided into her hair. They quickly both posted the picture before they walked away.
She was definitely a lot more different than the girl's he had been with in the past and he liked that. He liked her.
They walked into the actual venue where the pit would later fill and they got to their spots; in front row. Cara sighed in content as she realized that they weren't exactly in the front but they were in between where Sydney and Noah would be standing. She was so happy.
Calum was looking around the venue, eager for the show to start. He didn't want the night to end just yet but he wanted to see his favorite band live. He liked having Cara in his arms and he liked holding her.
Calum squeezed the girl when he felt is phone buzz in front pocket and he heard the girl let out a squeak in surprise.
"Is that a phone in your pocket or are you excited to see me?" Cara asked cheekily and Calum let out a loud laugh. Cara blushed and he wanted nothing more to kiss all over her face He really liked the girl.
"Sadly this time, it's just my phone," he pouted and Cara laughed giggled more.
Calum pulled out his phone and saw he had a text message from one of his band mates, what did they want now?
From: Blue-Haired Twat
hey, kayla and i are here. can we come stand with you?
Calum wanted to be alone with Cara the whole time but he knew he couldn't just reject his best friend and his girlfriend so he sighed as he looked down at Cara.
"Hey Cara, is it okay if my friend and his girlfriend come join us? I partially want to be mean and say no but I'd also really like for him to join us," Calum said quickly. Cara almost didn't catch what he said but when it registered she nodded her head.
"As long as you come back with food as well," Cara said and Calum smiled widely.
"Of course," he said smiling. Calum looked down at his phone and quickly texted Michael.
To: Blue-Haired Twat
I'll meet you buy the concession stand in a minute. Meet me there.
Calum slowly pushed his way out of the crowd, mumbling apologies and sweet comments. They had already allowed everyone else in and it was kind of cramped. He kept walking before he found his way to the concession stand. He immediately spotted the blue hair coming from Clifford and his girlfriend. They liked to dye their hair matching colors and Calum thought it was adorable.
"Michael! Kayla!" Calum called out. He saw the couple turn towards him and they smiled widely when they noticed the tan boy walking towards them.
"I didn't know you guys were coming!" Calum exclaimed and Michael shrugged.
"When we found out they sang Cool Kids, we decided to come," Michael said, shrugging shoulders.
Calum kind of hated his best friend at the moment because there were so many good songs and he only knew one. But he wasn't going to say anything because it was his best friend.
"I have to buy food for Cara and I quickly and then we can go," Calum said smiling.
"Who's Cara?" Kayla asked and Calum mentally face palmed when he realized they didn't know who Cara was.
"She's a girl I met in line, she's really cool. You'll love her," Calum said with a slight blush.
"Are you blushing?" Michael cooed and he pinched one of Calum's cheeks causing Calum to bat his hands away, "Does someone have a crush?"
"Shut up," Calum mumbled.
He went to the concession stand and bought a slice of pizza for him and Cara.
"Cara's waiting for us at the front so we'll go and meet her," Calum said smiling widely at the thought of the petite girl he had really started liking.
Michael and Kayla followed him into the pit, where they had to somewhat shove their way through. People did not like to be pushed farther back. They were able to use the excuse that their friend was waiting for them at the front or the teenage girl was intimidated by them and would move out of the way.
Calum spotted Cara and he shoved past the final three groups of people until he made it to the girl. He walked up behind her and hugged her, taking her by surprise, before pressing kisses against her cheek repeatedly. She let out her cute little squeak that Calum had heard so much the past day. She would only do the noise when she was taken by surprise and she seemed to be take by surprise a lot.
"Hi, I'm Michael and this is Kayla. Knowing Calum he didn't introduce us," Michael said smiling and he shook Cara's hand. She smiled.
Cara and Kayla exchanged a hello and Calum noticed how different they were.
They were chatting off to the side as Michael was talking to Calum, at least trying to talk to Calum. Calum was ignoring his whole conversation on something about guitar riffs and watched as the two girls talked. It seemed funny that they'd be friends.
Kayla had blue hair, with multiple ear piercings, and a few tattoos. She was dressed in all black and she had thick black Doc Martens on her feet while Cara was the complete opposite. Cara was wearing a skirt that black but that was the only thing dark about her. She had on a light pink shirt and her Vans were floral and they matched the flowers she had braided in her hair.
They seemed to be getting along rather well and Calum swore he even saw them exchange phones. He was glad his friends were getting along with the girl he wanted to eventually make his.
Cara looked up from her conversation with Kayla and saw Calum was already staring at her. She let out a small giggle before she blushed and looked down at the ground again. Calum really liked this girl.
