"And then there is Heidi tomorrow night, but the problem with Heidi is that she is going out of state for college," Steve explains to Robin and Adira as he occasionally looks at them but ensures to keep his eyes on the road for most of the drive, "so its like do I really want to start another relationship that has no point other than sex?"

"Well she is hot..." Adira adds as she looks at her brother from her position in the backseat

"Addy has a point," Robin says with a nod as she continues to her her mascara in the mirror of the passenger seat, making sure to listen in on the conversation but mainly paying attention to her makeup so that she didn't mess it up

"I mean I don't know... does that make sense to you?" Steve asks his sister and his best friend, clearly stressing out about the whole ordeal, meaning that there was a possibility that Steve actually really liked the girl, but the problem was that he didn't entirely know what he was looking for... it was a big world out there and he couldn't decide which fish he wanted to catch from the ocean when Robin doesn't reply Steve is quick to turn over to look at her, "Robin are you listening?"

"Uh yes... I'm li-"

"What did I say?" Steve interjects as he looks at her in frustration

"Something about sex with Linda..." Robin trailed off, only being able to pick up on some parts of the conversation

"NO! Im talking about Heidi!" Steve yells at her and waves his arms around frantically as he begins to freak out even more than before

"Calm your farm steve, holy shit, how much coffee did you drink this morning?" Adira asked him with a grin on her face. He looked up at the review mirror and glared at her through the reflection before giving her the rude finger. She stuck her tongue out at him before reaching forwards and slapping his hand away

"Cut me some slack please!" Robin yells back at Steve

"Well--"

"Your love life is one of labyrinthine complexity. It is 7 in the morning, we have to go to a stupid pep rally and I woke up this morning looking like a corpse," Robin said as she too began to freak out in the passenger seat as she rubbed her hands over her face anxiously

"What are you talking about Robin, you look smokin'" Adira told her from the front seat and Robin turned her head to look at the girl in the back seat with a grin on her face.

Ever since Robin and Steve began to work at scoops ahoy together, Adira and Robin had got along instantly, the two of them had a lot in common and both found it extremely amusing to torment the older Harrington sibling. They were both the same age, both geeks and had a lot of similar interests.

"You are worried about a basketball pep rally? You really expect me to believe that?" Steve says sarcastically as Robin turns back around to face the front

"Yeah so..." Robin trailed off quietly

"Yeah so?" Steve and Adira fired back, both of them knowing the real reason why Robin was so anxious... it wasn't because of where they were going, it was because a certain someone was going to be there, "we all know what this is about okay? I'm not buying that, this is about Vickie."

"I agree," Adira chirps in

"absolutely not, and Adira don't feed into it okay, youre supposed to be on my side," Robin complains

"I'm not on anyone side Rob, and you know what else?"

"Uh I really don't care wh-" Robin started, fully knowing that she was about to be called out right now

"I think that you have got to stop pretending to be someone else when you are around her. Okay, you just gotta... you just gotta be yourself, youre literally an amazing person and if she doesn't like the real you than that's her problem, she doesn't deserve someone as cool as you but if she does like the real, cool you, then the two of you could hit it off ya know?" Adira states

"Youre literally quoting me to me, you do realise that?" Robin asks

"Shes right Robin, maybe you need to listen to yourself. Ever think about that smarty pants?" Steve asks her, agreeing completely with his sister, "I mean I listened to your advice and look at me. Boom. I'm back in the business."

"It is not the same thing okay?" Robin says to him

"well..." Steve trails off, trying to disagree with the girl

"You ask out a girl and she says no. Big deal. Nothing happens. Maybe your ego is a little bruised. But I ask out the wrong girl, and bam, Im a town pariah," Robin exclaims and Adira hated the fact that it was true

"Id buy that, except Vickie is definitely not the wrong girl," Steve says

"I hate to agree with Steve Hair-ington over here, but he's right," Adira explains to Robin who cracks another grin at the cheerleader in the back.

"We just don't know that, do we?" Robin says

"She returned fast times, paused at 53 minutes, 5 seconds. Do you know who pauses fast times at 53 minutes, 5 seconds? People who like boobies Robin," Steve exclaimed, basically admitting that he too had admired the breasts that are displayed 53 minutes and 5 seconds into the movie

"Ew gross," Robin whined

"Boobies," Steve continued to exclaimed, trying to convince Robin that she had a chance with Vickie and should just shoot her shot

"Stop saying boobies!" Adira and Robin yelled at him

"Its not a big deal okay? I like boobies, you like boobies. Hell I'm pretty sure Adira likes boobies! Vickie likes boobies definitely!" Steve says, "its boobies."

"Fuck off Steve," Adria muttered to him and sat back in her seat as she looked out the window of the car, waiting to get to school. There was one person in particular at school that she wanted to see, someone she had spoken too occasionally thanks to Dustin and Mike, someone she hadn't talked about to anyone because who would ever think, cheerleader Adira Harrington, found something interesting about the 'freak' Eddie Munson

They finally made it to the school and Steve quickly drove down into the parking lot, almost running over about 10 kids before slamming on the breaks, "Thank fuck, I don't think I could stand being in this car for another minute with you idiot," she muttered to her brother and then grabbed her bag and threw the door open before jumping out and swinging the strap of her bag over her shoulder, "see ya later you two, love ya!" she called before running off towards the gym to go and warm up for the cheer choreography
