3RD PERSON POV
"Mama do we really have to go" y/n said hitting her arms to her legs as she followed Scarlett around the house
"Y/n, yes, yes you do, she's your grandma" Scarlett replied sitting down on the sofa and zipping up her bag
"But she doesn't even like me" y/n said rolling her eyes and zipping up her bag, coping her mom's actions
"She does, you're just overthinking it" Scarlett said standing up and walking out the room, y/n sighed laying back on the sofa, y/n's grandma didn't like her very much, becasue she was 'too attached to her mom' apparently. According to her, y/n couldn't let Scarlett leave her sight and always had to be clinging onto her all the time.
"Let's go" Scarlett said knocking on the living room door before disappearing, y/n groaned sitting back up, grabbing her bag and making her way to the front door. Y/n waited for Scarlett and then got straight in the car without saying a word
"It'll be okay, i won't let her say anything mean to you" Scarlett said rubbing y/n's knee and turning on the radio while the two sat in comfortable silence while they drove over to Scarlett's mom's house
"I promise, it'll be okay, I'm staying with you" Scarlett said rubbing y/n's arm and giving her a small side hug as they stood outside the door waiting for Melanie to answer the door
"Hello girls" Melanie said opening the door and stepping as-side letting them both in, Scarlett and y/n walked in, waiting in the hallway for Melanie to wander back in
"We're in the living room, Hunter's here with Vanessa" Melanie said leading the girls through to the living room to Hunter and Vanessa
"Scarlett, y/n" they said standing up and giving each of them a hug, Scarlett and y/n sat beside each other on the sofa, y/n edged closer to Scarlett as the conversation's in the room started, it was only 9pm so everyone decided to order a takeaway for some dinner
"Chinese" Scarlett said looking down and nudging y/n with her elbow slightly, y/n looked up and nodded her head slowly and leaned closer into Scarlett who wrapped her arm around her, letting her cuddle in more
"Let's go put our stuff away" Scarlett said standing up and extending her hand for y/n, which she took and stood up with her.
"You alright" Scarlett asked y/n as they both walked upstairs, y/n gave Scarlett a small nod holding onto her hand tighter
"It's me and you" y/n said excitedly looking at the new photo frame that hung up on the wall in Scarlett's old bedroom they were staying in. It was a photo of Scarlett and y/n when they were at the park and sliding down the slide together giggling with each other a few years ago.
"That's so cute" Scarlett said looking up at the photo before kneeling in the ground and unpacking the clothes that both of them had
"Can i not sleep with you" y/n asked looking down at the air mattress on the floor, the problem in Scarlett's old bedroom, was that she only had a single bed and a big room, so Melanie blew up another single air mattress on the side of the bed
"I don't know sweets" Scarlett said more focused on finding pyjamas for the two
"Your always welcome too, but grandma blew this up for you" Scarlett said throwing a pair of pyjamas at y/n and standing up, sitting on the bed next to y/n
"But i like sleeping with you" y/n said fiddling with Scarlett's bra strap at the back while her head lay on Scarlett's bare shoulder as she was in the middle of changing
