After a week of little to no game and kyrans ever growing bad mood, we officially ran out of food. And with Kyran putting it off to the absolute last day, hes finally and begrudgingly decided to make his way into town with me in tow.

The trip down seems to get more pleasant the more I do it, the snow this time is starting to disappear and has made way for new growth to push through. My hands were full with the different kinds of blooming flowers I picked along the way, kyran only grew more annoyed with every stop I made.

"Such a mess" Kyran picks through my piles of flowers that I've since left covering my side table in the motel.

I ignore his snide remark and continue getting ready to go back out again. Tying the last shoe on, I turn my back and walk away from kyran

He makes an annoyed grunt from behind me and stands to follow my lead out the door.

I don't know where I'm going so I fall in step with the grumpy man behind me. His attitude starting to bother me.

The town is bustling around us as we turn onto the main street. I inch myself closer to Kyrans side slowly and keep an eye out for anyone that might recognise me.

A sudden tug at my jumper has me gasping out, the sound is smothered by a car whizzing in front of us. My hair flies up at how close I was to the car, had kyran not stopped me, I would've stepped in front of it.

"Thank you" I whisper out in shock, watching the car still sail down the road.

He completely ignores me and crosses the road without me.

"A-are you okay Kyran?" I ask when I finally catch back up to him. He rolls his eyes from beside me, making me furrow my eyebrows. I think over everything that could've made him like this, stopping short when it finally hits me.

Maybe it's me?

Am I annoying him finally? Does he want me to leave?

My stomach twists in dread as warm air washes over my body from the shops' air con.

"I'll take you to the women's section but ill go off to do the rest of the shopping while you pick out stuff for yourself."

"Huh?! Wha-What?" My mouth drops, what if Alex happens to be here. I can't fend him off on my own...

He stares at me with hard eyes, knowing I heard exactly what he said.

"I can come with you! I don't need a new bra anyway, I'm happy with the one I've got." I try to convince him. I wouldn't even know what to look for even if I tried to shop for myself.

Kyran just shakes his head and carries on walking. I scramble to keep up with him, praying he'd listened to me.

I'm disappointed to find ourselves in the women's section with kyran giving me that same look again.

"Honestly Kyran, I'm happy with what I have. Please let's just go" I grab onto his sleeve and tug it slightly.

"Why are you so against this?" He frowns at my hand. I drop his sleeve immediately and wring my hands together instead.

"I don't want to be left alone" I whisper. He stares at me for a moment longer before looking around the area we're in.

"Excuse me" His loud voice booms out, frightening me.

"What can I do for ya?" A feminine voice calls out in reply from across the aisle. I look over and see her angelic face pop up over a clothing rack.

Kyran moves her way and delves into a discussion with her, leaving me to stand and watch from afar.
