Ryojin led Landon through the cemetery, the teen held onto his hand for comfort.
He couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose a child, but Landon knew if he ever lost Leah he'd be heartbroken.

"Here he is." Ryojin bowed to what seemed to be a small hill covered in grass and a few wild flowers.

The gravesite was completely unfamiliar to Landon, as he was used to tombstones with the person's name and date of birth.

Yet all there was on this mound was a small stone placker in the ground which read '김 재규' (Kim Jae-Kyu).

"Namdongsaeng, I'm glad to see you." Mi Kyong called as she walked over to the couple and bowed to the grave before bowing to Ryojin.

She pulled Ryojin in for a hug, one he actually accepted gratefully before turning to Landon, "I'm happy you're here with him. Welcome to Korea." she gave Landon a warm smile.

"He was always so happy. Just the kindest boy I've ever met." Mi Kyong gushed when talking about her deceased nephew.

Usually her and Ryojin would go out for food and just sit in silence as she tried to pressure him to talk about his life, but now Landon was here.
And he wondered things about Jackie, so she answered.

"He sounds awesome." Landon replied politely as he miserably failed to pick up his piece of chicken with chopsticks.

Whereas Mi Kyong and Ryojin were pros, easily using the twin sticks to move, pull, stir and anything else they needed, their dry ramen.

"He was." Ryojin inputted in a low and depressed voice.
It was only today though.

Yesterday, he was perfectly fine and tomorrow he would be too.
Only this day, 15 October, was he miserable.

All was going moderately well, everyone was eating and embarking on telling the other's how their past few weeks had been since Mi Kyong and Landon met.

The two of them were getting along well, up until Landon asked, "Where's Jackie's mother?" in his small curious and innocent voice.

"Oh," Mi Kyong gave an audible gasp, looking over at Ryojin.
Ryojin on the other hand shot Landon a look with his dark eyes before standing up and walking away from the table.

"Mocha! Wait!" Mi Kyong called after him but the brunet just continued on.
Landon could feel a lump in his throat as he felt like he was about to cry, "I-Im sorry." he stuttered sadly.

Mi Kyong shook her head, "It's not your fault. It's a very delicate matter to him. Ask him again tomorrow," she urged.

"ask him any day of the year, except today. Today's bad for him; ask him anything you want except today and 16 February." she gave a reassuring nod with a sympathetic smile.

few minutes later,

Landon waved goodbye to Mi Kyong as she departed down the sidewalk in the opposite direction of him.

Landon spotted Ryojin sitting on a bench nearby and sat down beside him, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." he whispered.

Ryojin sighed and wrapped his arm around Landon's nape, pulling the younger man closer and leaving a warm kiss on the top of his head in between straight black strands of hair.

"I'm not mad at you cookie. I just don't want to talk about this right now, c'mon I want to take you somewhere." he stood up and held out his hand for Landon to grab.

Without a care for the people curiously or judgementally staring, Ryojin intertwined his fingers with Landon's and walked down the busy street with him.

"Wow, there's a huge lake." Landon's entire face lit up at the sight of the lake, his nose was red from the chilly weather.

Ryojin lifted his arm which was holding Landon's hand and kissed the smaller tanned fingers, "We can't get in but there's ducks over there." he pointed to another side of the park.

Landon gasped as a smile spread across his face once he spotted the green-beaked brown birds, "Ah, I love ducks!" he squealed happily.

How can someone so beautiful be so cute at the same time? Ryojin smiled, letting Landon drag him across the bridge to where there were more ducks in the pond.

"It's freaking freezing." Landon shivered. He was wearing a black crop top which barely showed his stomach, black high-waisted jeans and black tennis shoes.

Ryojin on the other hand was wearing black jeans, a black long sleeve, black boots and a black jacket with a tan wool underlining.

"I told you we should've gone back to the hotel, but you wanted to keep looking at the ducks." the brunet replied but still removed his jacket and put it on Landon.

It smells like him, Landon's heart raced. Even thought Ryojin was technically his boyfriend, Landon couldn't help but feel like he was still crushing on the man.

"Were you born here?" Landon questioned after muttering thanks for the warm coat.

Ryojin wrapped an arm around Landon's waist and continued walking down the street with him, "Yes. I lived here until two years ago. Then I moved to New York."

"Why New York?" Landon looked up at the brunet with admiring grey eyes, taking in how attractive he looked in the moonlight.

"I've always wanted to see the Christmas Tree they have in NYC, so I moved there." Ryojin shrugged before noticing Landon was staring at him.

He looked down at the redhead, watching him smile with loving eyes and cold air induced redness on his nose and cheeks.

"And then I met you. You're the reason I'm staying." Ryojin said before leaning down and softly kissing Landon.

You're also the reason I'm in love.
