"Temitope, make sure you get home on time because you have to help me deliver these goods to your aunty in Lekki"

I heard my mum say but I chose to ignore her. I wonder why my rubbish aunty can't send her daughter to come get her so called goods. To go to the market to get the goods herself is a problem, to come get the goods herself after buying it for her is another problem. She is just so annoying if she thinks she can use me the way she is using my mum then she is dreaming.

"Temitope is it not you I was talking to?" mum said barging into my room glaring angrily at me

"Mum please leave me oh, why Can't aunty Ife come and get her goods herself? doesn't she have a car and a driver? And if she feels she doesn't want to utilize her car and driver then she can as well send her daughter as for me I'm not going anywhere."

I replied angrily and I received a deafening slap on my cheeks. "Ahhh!! Mummy you slapped me?"

"Yes, and I will slap you again and again until you learn how to respect your elders" She said glaring at me.

I got angry I left the room pushing her out of the way. "Temitope you better come back here this moment" She screamed but I ignored her, she can go deliver her sister's goods herself since she likes being treated as a slave.

I grabbed my bag from the sitting room and left the house ignoring my mum who kept screaming her lungs out I just hope she doesn't lose her voice permanently one day. I wonder how dad is able to cope with her loud annoying voice.

Anyways I'm Temitope Alabi but my friends call me Temi, I'm the only daughter of my parents and the daughter of a soldier. Yup you got that right, my dad is in the army and he is presently not around he traveled to Jos because of the issue of bandits disturbing the state. My dad is my role model and I really wish to become like him someday. It's not like I don't love my mum it's just that she can be very annoying but despite that she can also be a sweetheart sometimes when she is not in her angry and shouting mode.

"Okada!" I shouted trying to flag down a motorcycle. The bike man stopped and I rushed to him getting on the bike immediately.

"I dey go Eucharistic heart College" "your money na 200 naira oh ooh" the bike man said as he sped off

"haba, no be 100naira?"

I asked trying to reduce the price

"aunty na 200naira if you no go fit pay abeg tell me make I drop you" "tor I don hear you make we dey go" I replied and we continued our journey to the school.

In less than ten minutes we got to school and I got down paying the bike man before entering the school compound. I saw our compound master and tried to dodge him but unfortunately for me the he sighted me.

"Temitope come here" he said looking at me menacingly; I rolled my eyes before going to meet him. "Good morning sir" I greeted him but he just kept staring at me with those wicked eyes of his.

"Sir I'm greeting you na"

"Did I tell you I'm deaf?"

"Sir I did not say so oh you're the one calling yourself deaf"

If looks could kill I would be 6 six feet underground right now with the looks this bald man is giving me. Mr. Johnson and I never get along his always trying to punish me at any given opportunity. I've never seen him smile since my 5years in this school; his either screaming his lungs out or squeezing his face like shit.

"Temitope, why are you just coming to school" he asked glaring at me

"Sir it's not my fault oh, you know how Lagos road is now, I could not get bike on time and the bike I managed to get had problem so we had to fix the bike first, then go and get fuel. When we got to the filling station we met a very long queue as in if you see the queue ehen, you self you will shout, when we finally got the fuel we met heavy traffic on the road. The traffic was very bad, sir to live in Lagos is not easy ooh"
