'C'mon kid. You're doing great keep it up.' Poltergeist encouraged. 'And remember, it isn't real. It is not real.' Poltergeist found Kai would start crying whenever he killed someone, so he had to keep reassuring him that it wasn't real.He also had to keep quiet, because Kai had associated yelling with anger. He thought that Poltergeist was mad when he was just excited. 'Thank you.' Kai muttered.
He had to keep reminding himself which button did what. A to Shoot, B to Jump, Press B twice to double jump, X to dodge, and Y to sprint. Looting was simple, kill the guy, and you get his stuff. For the first two minutes, Kai just killed people who spawned in. It was the easiest way to get loot Poltergeist said.
Although people in the voice chat yelled at him, calling him a spawn camper or a spawner. It was so bad Kai had to take a break because he was crying so much he couldn't see. Poltergeist took the controller and played for him until he calmed down and was able to play again.
Poltergeist apologized for that and took the headset so Kai wouldn't hear and could just play the game. 'I forgot how toxic games like these could be, it's been a while since I've played myself. Sorry, Saki-San.' He had said.
Kai died twice, and had 23 kills, he was doing great for a first-timer. Poltergeist could still hear the other players yelling. He's used the shadows to cover Kai's ears while he shouted at players. Yelling that he was a 'First-time player' and to 'Shut the fuck up'.
Other than those few hiccups, Kai was having a surprising amount of fun. It was a lot easier to play when he wasn't being shouted at, and when he couldn't hear the gunshots. He wasn't doing too bad even.
Severed Agent was a team game, Kai's team was awful, well... Kai didn't know that himself, at least not exactly, but based on Poltergeist's reactions to the moves they were pretty awful. He made the same face whenever Father touched him, so they couldn't be doing good.
Kai scooted close to him. 'Am I doing okay?'
Poltergeist laughed, 'Okay? Kid, you're doing great. Especially for your first time, don't mean to sound like I didn't believe in you but really, I wasn't expecting you to do this good.'
Kai nodded, 'Thank you.'
'Of course.' He smiled, Poltergeist let Kai put his hand on Kai's head and held him a little bit closer. Partly to keep the controller from overheating, but mostly because Kai had already scooted closer himself.
That's a good thing about his quirk, it's impossible for anything he touches to overheat because of his body heat. Or lack of it that is. It's why he was brought on missions during the summer. His lack of heat was refreshing, he's gotten used to the fact that people are just gonna randomly grab onto him. Though it is annoying.
Kai killed another guy, Poltergeist heard the shouting. Oh well, he was dead, too late now.
