All of us sat silently, taking in the new information. We finally knew the history of Fisher Tiger, hero to the Fishmen; Jimbei and the Sun Pirates, the death of Queen Otohime, and of course... how badly their kind were treated by humans.
For so many years, these people have fought the discrimination of humans because they were Fishmen, and all the queen wanted was to have her people live a better life on the surface. I clenched my fists on my lap. How can people be so cruel? The nobles, World Government, pirates and civilians alike- hell even the Marines! It makes me sick to my stomach.
I thought back to the events that happened in the auction house on Sabaody. How the people were amused at people being sold off as slaves, buying people like they were nothing but mere objects, and... the look of disgust when they saw that Hachi was a Fishman, as if he were some vile creature. I hate people like them. Nobles. They think just because they have money or status, that they are above everyone.
The Marines are no better. They claim to be for justice and protect people from danger or evil, but what have they done? Where were they when my home was attacked? Hell, from the log book I've read on the Sunny, the others saved several islands and countries while the Marines sat by and did nothing. Alabasta, Drum Island, Nami's hometown in Cocoyashi Village, and the town Axe Hand Morgan ruled. Where were they as the people suffered?
The way I see it, us humans are despicable, always looking down on others. A part of me was glad that I was shut away from the outside world for so long. It's funny how those who go against the government and do good, end up being wanted criminals... it's truly a horrible place. But... I glance over my friends, smiling slightly. There are people who are willing to go against everything if it's for the right cause.
I was pulled from my thoughts by Franky wailing about in tears. "WAHHHHHH! I know how hard it is to be a big brother! You're a hell of a guy, Jimbei! AHHHHHH! That whole story, I like 'em all so much! Tiger, and otohime, and what's his name."
Sanji pointed at him, tick mark on his face. "Shut your mouth, Franky!"
All of us hear a thud, turning confused. "Huh?"
"Luffy?" Nami questioned, confused and concerned as to why he fell over all the sudden.
We all stare at him, expecting him to reply... but was met with the sound of snoring. "WHAT?!" That idiot's really asleep?!
"Moron..." Sanji sighed annoyed, walking over to him. "Wake up!" He kicked Luffy, stopping the snoring.
Luffy yawned, sitting up as if he didn't just get kicked in the face. "Uahh... I needed that nap."
"I should've known..." Sanji spoke up as Luffy rubbed the back of his head. "The only time you can sit still is if you're asleep."
"Huh?" Luffy widened his eyes, now fully awake. "Jimbei... are you crying?"
Jimbei, who still had tears running down his face, started wiping his eyes. "Oh come now, of course- I'm not crying." He tried to convince, sniffling in the process.
Luffy titled his head in confusion, looking over to the rest of us. "What'd I miss?"
"It's nothing, alright." Jimbei quickly spoke up, not wanting to admit he was crying. "Let's forget it and move on!"
"Hmm..." Luffy pondered for a second, before smiling and placing his hat back on his head. "Sure, whatever. So, Jimbei? What did the Queen end up doing to that thief she caught?"
"Are you for real?!" Sanji barred his teeth, fuming. "You mean to tell me you fell asleep at the very beginning of the story?!"
Luffy looks over at him. "Did I miss it all?"
