      BEATRICE MARTIN AND STEVE HARRINGTON WERE UNDENIABLY IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER! Only, they actually weren't. In fact, they were sort of frenemies.

Steve, or Hairball as Bea called him, was difficult to speak to. He was a small-minded man- need she say more? He was far too consumed by his looks and getting his "ideal babe" that would make him look irresistible to the other girls.

Beatrice, on the other hand, was a very open-minded girl, always voicing her opinions on things, making crude jokes, blasting her music so loud that it could be heard across the mall in Scoops Ahoy, laughing obnoxiously loud- the list could go on for Steve.

      But, Steve was desperate for leverage to get a girlfriend and Bea was desperate to eat ice cream during her work breaks.

      So what did Steve do? He made a deal with the one and only Beatrice Martin to pretend to be his girlfriend, just for the summer, and in return, she could have as much ice cream as she desired without having to even take her keys out of her bag.

      What could go wrong?

      BEATRICE AND STEVE WERE COMPLETELY HEAD OVER HEELS FOR EACH OTHER! At least that's what it looked like to just about everyone. To the public eye, there were giggles, whispering, ice cream dates, and hand-holding. But dare take a closer look and you can see the fake laughs, whispered threats, Beatrice getting her end of their dating deal, and Beatrice squeezing Steve's hand until it felt like she broke a bone. But don't worry! Aren't they at least friends?

Spoiler alert: they weren't.
