🖋I wanna be nice but everyone annoys me- Unknown🖋

Niara's POV

Mr. Donovan dropped me off at home just a few moments ago.

I was currently making my way to my dads office, had to make sure he wasn't suspicious of where I was last night!

Although he does like Mr. Donovan... but I doubt he likes him to point where he would be okay with me staying at his house.

Before I could make it to his office I'm stopped in the hallway by a curious looking Ms. Marie.

"Did you have fun at Jackies?" she asks with a hand on her hip.... uh oh.

"I-I did.. thank you" I mumbled the last bit.

"You know it's funny.. because that looked a lot like Killian Donovans car" She says with a pointed gave.

Crap!

I didn't think about Ms. Marie. I wasn't worried about my father seeing because he stays in his office all day.

I felt sweat drop down my forehead as I tried to quickly think of an excuse.

"H- he's not the only one who has that type of car!" I argued but it was no use. She knows how to see through my lies.

She sighs as she pinched the bridge of her nose frustratingly "Niara I swear if your father finds out-"

"He won't- or I hope he won't. I was actually going to go see him right now" I say looking at my feet.

"He's actually gone for the week."

My head shot up quickly "What?"

I almost gasped. He never leaves before telling me.

"Yeah, there was a business emergency, he should be back within a week so don't worry."

I swallowed "Oh" I forced my voice to say something.

Me and my father are quite close, it's not like him to leave without a word. I hate to say it but I'm a bit hurt.

"...How about we go for ice cream?" Ms. Marie asks in a motherly voice. She must have noticed I was upset.

Icecream didn't sound too bad right now, it beats being alone in my room.

I nodded "But first I need to change" I say awkwardly. I almost forgot I was still wearing Killiand clothes, now I'm glad I couldn't go see my father.

Ms. Marie ruffles my hair "Okay, I'll be waiting in the downstairs lounge area."

I smiled before running up to my room. It was going to be hot today so I decided on a white summer dress.

I paired it with some white wedged sandals, and I pulled my hair back with a matching white ribbon.

I pulled out some of my baby hairs as I was satisfied with my look.

I made my way downstairs, seeing Ms. Marie on the phone by the door.

She hung up when she saw me "Ready?"
