You Want Her and I'll Never Be Her: Eddie Munson

You weren't the jealous type and never had to be when you were with Eddie, he was constantly showing you that you had no need to be jealous or worried when you were with him that was until Chrissy Chunnighman re-entered his life. Eddie had told you about how she was his middle school crush but nothing happened between them two because he became the high school freak and she became the queen of Hawkins essentially so it was a shock when Eddie told you that she had come to buy drugs from him. Still, you thought it was a simple drug trade so imagine your reaction when you noticed him starting to look at her more and talk about her more. 

"So are you and Chrissy like friends now?" You asked him after the first few times of him bringing her up. 

"Yeah, I guess we are. Weird if you think about it, but I promise that my crush on her is long gone. You're my only girl." He had said placing a kiss on your lips. 

Oh had stupid you had been to believe that because it seemed like the looks and the mentions of her gotten worst because now he made it a point to go talk to her, staring at her, or bring her when it was supposed to be ya'lls time together. It hurt to know that Eddie was falling out of love with you now that his middle school crush was paying him a little bit of attention. 

"Hey you've been awfully quiet today, you okay?" Robin asked as you stocked two stocked the shelves. 

"Not not really." You said on the brink of tears which Robin noticed right away as she pulled you into the back of the store. 

"What's going on? Did something happen with Eddie?" She asked you concerned. 

"I think he's fallen out of love with me Robin, now that Chrissy's back." You said full-on crying as you told her everything that had been happening lately with Eddie while she wrapped her arms around you. 

"Hey did y/n and Eddie break up because I just saw Eddie and Chrissy at the arcade and they looking pretty............." Steve said walking in the back and stopping once he saw you and Robin. 

"The arcade?" You asked him. 

"Y/n...I may have been.." Steve started to say but Robin cut him. 

"Steve just tell her...she deserves to know." Robin said. 

"Well went to drop off something Dustin left in my car and while we were talking I saw Eddie and Chrissy walk by holding hands and laughing. I'm sorry." Steve said looking at you apologetically.

"I need to see for myself." You said as they nodded before you guys walked out to steve's car as Robin closed up the store.

About ten minutes later, you guys got to the arcade and walked in and that's when you saw them sitting there talking and laughing anyone would assume they were on a date. You almost forgot Steve and Robin were there until you felt a hand on your shoulder. 

"Are you okay?" Robin asked you as you shook your head no before leaving with them following you.

"Are you sure you don't want us to stay?" Steve asked. 

"I'm sure. I need to do this, I've put off facing the truth that he wants her, and today confirmed my suspicions." You said as they nodded their heads at you.

"Well call at least one of us once you get home, okay?"  Robin said hugging you. 

It was almost an hour later when Eddie would get home and nearly had a heart attack when he saw you sitting on the couch. 

"Sweetheart I wasn't expecting to see you today." He said walking over to where you sat. 

"Eddie...we need to talk." You said looking up at him and that's when he finally saw your tear-stained cheeks making him worried. 

"What's going?" He asked.

"I think we should break up....it's clear your not into the relationship anymore which I'm not mad about but there's no point for me to keep fighting for something especially when you want someone else." You said. 

"What do you mean break up? Want someone else?" He asked you. 

"Eddie ever since Chrissy came to buy drugs from you, it's like you forgot you had a girlfriend. I sat there for weeks listening to you talk about her 24/7, then I saw you constantly looking at her when you were supposed to be with me. But you know what did it today? Was when I went to the arcade the place where we had our first date and you were sitting there with her acting you two were on a date." You said as the tears full-on fell down your cheeks. 

"Sweetheart I swear I don't want her....." He said as you shook your head no. 

"Eddie you even said so yourself that's your middle school crush...and I can see that you want her and I know that I'll never be her so I'm giving you want you want, I hope she's everything you dreamed she would be." You said walking to the door. 

"Sweetheart please let me fix this!" He said following you. 

"I'm sorry Eddie but it's over." You said leaving him with tears streaming down his face while yours were silently falling as you started to walk home.
