good campaign !

( march twenty-first , nineteen
eighty-six ... on the way home
from the high school / protest ! )

" SO THE PROTEST WAS A SUCCESS ? "

" YEAH ! IT WAS GREAT ! "

DAVIE WAS FINALLY IN THE DRIVER'S seat with Heath, Kate, and Angelina. Each of them talking about the night that they had. He was finally on the way to dropping off the two cousins before going home himself. Although he felt bad about missing the what seemed like a successful protest, he still had a lot of fun at the dnd campaign that he was at. At least his friends made him feel better about that. He still had some of his adrenaline from the game inside of him. The only one who seemed pretty exhausted was Angelina. She had worked all day, so really, Davie couldn't blame her for being so tired. She just wished that she didn't take her attitude out on him half the time. And talking about Eddie, the campaign, and the protest seemed to annoy her pretty quick. She wasn't talking to any of them, pretty much glared at Davie the whole time she was talking. She was acting strange whenever Eddie was even brought up, and Davie didn't exactly know why.

The male kept driving as Heath and Kate kept talking. From what they said, a lot of people had come. It was a huge crowd. And that was a win for them. They even marched down a few miles to spread their word, and everything went down as planned. Davie was really happy about it. He was pretty pleased.

"Enough about the protest!" Kate says, "Tell us about the campaign! How did it go?"

Davie gave a smile. "It actually went pretty great! It was fun!" He answered, "I helped them defeat lord Vecna! It felt amazing!"

"Woah, that sounds so cool!" Heath gasped in excitement, "I'm super happy that you had a good time, you know? You seemed pretty stressed out lately."

"Thanks. I think I honestly needed that," Davie told them, "Because I was stressed. I had a lot of things on my mind."

"That's why we told you to go," Kate added on, "We care about you and your mental health."

"Yeah! So anyway! Any interaction with Eddie? Before or after the game?" Heath asked.

"Well. . ." Davie started, "At first, he honestly had doubts about me playing. Called me a level one dwarf, but I showed him who's boss. Next thing I know, after the campaign he says that he likes me handkerchief."
