"Thanks for letting me stay here," Daniella politely said to Lewis who freshly walked out of the shower and was now only wearing sweatpants.

"Yeah no problem," Lewis replied. "Daniel is still calling you?"

Daniella nodded as she sat comfortably on the bed and threw her phone on the side.

"He even went to my hotel room.." She mumbled as she pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin there. "That's why I didn't want to stay there... and also if Max shows up..."

Before Lewis could say anything Daniella's phone rang again. She let out a tired shaky breath and went to decline the call but Lewis got to the phone first.

He declined the call and switched off the phone before tossing it on the bed.

"Problem solved," Lewis said as he sat on the bed, making Daniella look at him. "Now tell me what the hell were you thinking? Dating Max? You could have had anyone but you had to fall for that guy." He sounded a bit angry but also concerned.

Daniella looked guilty but also vulnerable.

"We.. I was.. I don't know.." She shook her head. "Everything was great. We were happy and then..."

She has already told her roommate everything about Max and her, how it all started, the obstacles in between, and how it ended a few hours ago.

"How many people know about you two?" Lewis asked.

"Just Daniel and Lando... and Max's family," Daniella replied. "But I don't think Lando knows we broke up... what am I saying, of course, he knows, Daniel surely told him by now. That guy can't keep his mouth shut." She was starting to get angry.

Lewis moved closer and pulled her into a comforting side hug. He almost expected her to cry but instead, she looked angry.

Daniel smacked Max's head before pulling his hair and sitting next to him. He was feeling guilty and wanted to make things right but Daniella was not giving him the chance.

Max rubbed the back of his head where Daniel smacked him as he glared at his friend.

"You are the most idiotic person I have ever known, you know that?" Daniel angrily said.

"I know I screwed up," Max admitted. "But I went to apologize, instead of trying to work things out she broke up with me."

"And now she is not picking up my call or answering my text," Daniel said. "She is not even in her room. I went there at least six times."

Max was worried but managed to mask it with his anger.

"Then call her again..."

"She switched off her phone," Daniel rudely replied. "I should have told you anything. I should have waited till..."

"But you did," Max pointed out. "You knew how I was going to react and yet you still told me," He blamed his friend instead of himself.

"Take some fucking responsibility Max," Daniel snapped. "You just lost the best thing that's ever happened to you. And I lost a friend... she is never going to forgive me."

Max was taken aback by Daniel's words. The reality once again hit him. Daniella broke up with him because he lashed out and committed a much worse mistake than her.

"She was not the best thing that happened to me," Max lied, trying to argue.

"Try to convince yourself first, and then lie to me," Daniel bluntly said, not believing his words.
