Chapter 11

I approached Shirahoshi and Surume, putting a forced smile on my face. "Hey Shirahoshi, you doing alright?"

"Oh, it's (Y/N)." She looked over at me nodding her head, "I am, all thanks to you guys."

I felt Surume wrap a tentacle around me, causing me to wince slightly. "Are you alright, (Y/N)?" She asked me worriedly, as I was placed beside her.

I hid my pained expression, with another smile, as to not worry her further. "Yeah, just fine. Nothing to worry about." I tried to assure her.

She was about to say something, when our attention was directed as a shadow casted over us. Huh? We looked up to see a huge ship above us. Silence overtook the Plaza before the people began to panic and run away.

Something fell down and crashed into the Plaza. "Owww~ Why do I have to be so clumsy?" It said, grasping their head, which had a huge bump from the crash. It suddenly stood up, glancing up at the ship. "Captain Decken can you hear me up there?! I fell off the Noah and can't get back, you have to stop the ship for me! I don't wanna die down here!"

Wait, did he just say Decken? I glanced up at the ship, before looking over a Shirahoshi worried. Don't tell me...

"Bahohohoho! Bahohohoho! Why Shirahoshi, I offer you my love, one last time! Bahohohoho!" Decken's voice rang throughout the Plaza. "what'ya say? Bahohohoho!"

He starts to babble on how he has waited 10 years and blah, blah, blah. "Loves patient, I suspect! It means, there isn't another person alive who cares for you like I do! That's why I'm doing this- It's love! LOVE! L-U-V! LOVE! WHY WON'T YOU ACCEPT IT!" (When I wrote this I thought of Dan Straight from Fairy Tail going L-O-V-E😅)

He explains how he used his Mark Mark Fruit to mark the Noah to follow Shirahoshi and that if she didn't accept him, he would kill her. Even went as far as to tell his crew mate that he will just have to be a sacrifice for Shirahoshi's love. This dude has totally lost it.

I watched as the bubble surrounding us, began to cave in from the weight of the Noah. I looked at Shirahoshi again, who was worried for everyone. "Shirahoshi, listen to me."

I stood up shakily as I faced her. "Take me and start swimming away from the Plaza."

"W-what? But why? I can't possibly leave everyone behind..." She asks, her voice cracking slightly.

"Think about it, the Noah is going to follow you because of Decken's Devil Fruit, right?" I watched as she nodded her head. "So, that means if you swim away from the Plaza, the Noah will follow. This way we don't have to worry about the bubble popping and you'd be saving everyone."

She lets out a gasp in realization. "You really think so?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah, and by taking me with you, I can protect you from Decken. So, what'ya say?"

Without hesitation, she took hold of me, and took out a pink coral thing. She clicked it and a bubble surrounded her tail, like a floatie, as she began to swim up. Shirahoshi placed me on her back, and I took hold of her hair as to not fall off. "So where exactly should I go?"

I thought for a moment. "First we need to leave this bubble, and swim out to sea to lure the Noah away from the island."

"But what about you? A human can't breath in the water, and my coral ran out of air." She asked me worriedly.

"Don't worry about that, I have that covered." I dug my hand into my pocket, pulling out a piece of coral, similar to the one she had. "I saw one of those guys that Sanji kicked out of the air drop this. I wasn't sure what it was at first until I saw the one you used to inflate a bubble."
