" shut .. up. " they heard max say through the walkie talkie, lucas turned to his friends with a shocked expression.
" she turned it off. " velma scoffed, before walking over to mikes phone and dialing the hargove - mayfield number. it took a few seconds, but soon the ginger answered.
" i'm sleeping. go away — "
" maxine ! it's velma, don't hang up. something happened, really bad. our very lives could be at stake. " velma told her, though still mad over max telling el to break up with vivian.
" what are you talking about ? " max asked.
" just come over to mikes, we'll explain everything. also im mad you. " " what — "
before max could finish, velma hung up, and turned to the three boys & vivian. " try dustin, again. "
" he's not answering. " the sinclair boy snapped back.
" so, try him again. " lucas rolled his eyes, before turning his walkie talkie on again.
