The girl with pink locks of hair suddenly stopped in her tracks. Amidst the silence, she perked up. Her purple eyes stared out into the distance.

"Eh, Yumi? Why did you stop?" Lily tugged on her arm. She tilted her head at the sudden halt.

Yet, the pinkette stayed quiet at first before slowly blinking. "Do you guys hear buzzing?" She asked and she continued to stare in the distance. One in the direction where they had come from.

"Buzzing?" Avelyn furrowed her brows. "But all the bees are supposed to be knocked out by the smoke."

Kathryn shook her head at the brunette. "We can't be certain for sure." She said as she held her chin. "Some could be hidden somewhere in the hives which were blocked from the smoke." The green-haired girl could only assume. Her amber orbs glanced at the various cracks all around them.

Avelyn pursed her lips at that. She couldn't disagree with her but it will mean they must put down the leftovers-

"Oh lord, they're huge!" Erina cried out at the sight of huge and angry bees coming right at them. And they were coming fast.

"That's what she said-oh crap!" Cynthia shrieked when she narrowly dodged a stinger. "Damn, is it just me or are they faster now?!"

"They definitely are." Yumi clicked her tongue when one actually dodged her flying water blade. The bees they saw before were much slower and weren't they supposed to be clumsy?

Roselyn cried out, "there's so many!" She exclaimed in panic, running away to dodge stingers. "Wasn't the smoke supposed to knock them out?!"

"I-I don't know!" Avelyn cried out as she toss a stone pillar at one. She was confident that the smoke trick would work. It was an adventure classic. "They weren't supposed to wake up or be this aggressive!" She grimaced when one was crushed beneath a pillar.

"Just great!" Kathryn hissed. "It's just like that Dark Kulid quest! Dammit, what's with our luck?!" She doubts she'll ever get an answer.

"W-Woah!" Erina screamed as the floor beneath began to crack. Her eyes widened when she noticed the cause of it. "The bees' stingers!" She alerted. The bees were using their stingers to weaken the floor.

"Oh shit." Cynthia cursed before everyone began to crumble. They all fell as they were greeted by the dark abyss below them. With her eyes shielded by her arm from the debris, she could barely make out the screams of her friends.

A groan escaped her lips as she slowly opened her eyes to rumbles and ruins. She hissed as she slowly lifted her body upward. When she used her hands to do as such, she was met with a sticky surface.

"Is this...wax?" Cynthia could only assume that it was from the beehives encased in the ruins of the temple. She slowly blinked when she realized that she had landed on it.

"Damn, saved by the wax." She gave a dry laugh. She knew without it, she would have perished from the fall. And she could only pray that friends had avoided such fate.

Cynthia slowly stood up, worried that she might have broken a thing or two. She sighed in relief when she was not met with any flash of pain. Now up and about on her feet, her anxiety grew at the sight of no one.

"He..llo?" Cynthia coughed as her voice broke. She dismissed her dry throat as she was more concerned about the absence of her friends. "Any..one?"

She breathed out at the unsurprising silence. Then with a slap to her knees, she ventured into the unknown. Was it dumb? Probably. Did she care? Nope. She was worried about her friends and her imagination did not help.
