It rolled on Friday, Jamie was at the dinner downstairs helping stock away the left overs that would not fit in the kitchen
She heard foot steps come down the door "Gloria I'll be up in a second" she turned her back sorting our tin cans
"Who the hell is Gloria" Riff's voice appeared, Jamie turned to him and frowned
"What Riff" she put a box on the other side of the room "can you pass me that" she pointed to a can in a box behind Riff
Riff took one out and threw it too her as she caught it "wanted to apologise" he took another can out "what the hell is this" he read the label "cream in a can ?"
She rolled her eyes "pass me it" he threw another one as she caught it "you're in a dinner of corse there's going to be stuff like that"
"You coming to the party tonight" he took another can, Jamie shook her head "come on an hour, just a little hour"
"Pass me a can" she put out her hand
Riff leant over and took the can out "Christ all mighty you know there's dust on everything" he wiped his hand on his jeans he grabbed Jamie's wrist which was about to grab a can "it's just us dancing drinking and having fun"
"And you'll start another argument?" She mocked at him moving her arm
"No" he interrupted her "that's why you gotta come you know what I'm like I'll start running my mouth you can stop me" he smiled innocently
"Not your baby sitter" she walked over with him talking rubbish in her ear
"Jamie Jamie, I said to the boys that you'd show. Mouthpiece would love to see ya" he grabbed a can
Jamie tried to snatch it off him "why would you do that ?"
"JAMIE" the owner yelled down "IM LEAVING IN 10 CAN YOU TAKE THE TILL"
"Yeah I'll be a second" Jamie replied she turned back to Riff who was moving the can trying to wind her up "I'm not going" she turned a corner
"It's like you're Cinderella, you're locked up and that old witch is the evil step mother" he followed after her, Riff was never fond of the woman who owned the dinner
"Don't say that she's lovely" she brought out another box "she gave me a job and always been there for me like nobody else" she saw in Riff's face he was annoyed "and you obviously"
"See so come with me to the party" he grabbed her and spun her around like they were dancing
She pushed him off and started walking straight, he frowned "what's bothering you so much, is it that Billy"
Jamie sighed "no one mentioned Billy, he's no bother to me" she turned to one of the shelf's "but I don't know I haven't felt the best in the last couple days. Not in the best mood" she put a can on a shelf "I dunno, life is just different know. People went missing and we're all on our toes"
