“Uncle Lu.” Meng Shanshan had a particularly happy smile when she saw Lu Xun. Her brother always seemed resentful toward her and bullied her. She particularly missed the days when she was doted upon.

Seeing Lu Xun, she knew that her princess status had been restored!

After the two kids had gotten inside of his car, Lu Xun, sitting behind the wheels, took a look at Meng Yuran through the rearview mirror and said, “You didn’t give me all the details this morning. Meng Yan was the one who brought you here? Did your mother know about this?”

Truth was, Lu Xun was quite happy that Meng Yuran trusted him so much that he was the first one that he reached out for help.

But he didn’t let any of his complacency show. If he let any of his happiness show, he had a feeling that the young man would rain on his parade immediately. He had a pretty good idea of what Meng Yuran was like.

The young man was playing with his cell phone. Hearing Lu Xun’s words, he explained the situation to him very concisely, “He tricked Shanshan over here yesterday so I came over too. I would be worried otherwise. I’ve told my mom about it, but I didn’t give her all the details.”

Meng Shanshan, being called out, blinked and dared not made a sound. She put on her best imitation of a quail.

Lu Xun’s heart ached even more when he saw the cautious look on the little girl. He quickly defended her. “Our Shanshan didn’t do that on purpose, right? Don’t feel bad, Shanshan. Uncle will take you somewhere fun. What do you say?”

Hearing that, Meng Shanshan broke out into a smile. Ignoring her own brother, she pushed her head forward as much as she could and tried to get as close to Lu Xun as possible. “Uncle Lu, do you know the Adventure Land that just opened up? Many of the kids in our kindergarten had been there already. I want to go too.”

“Okay. We will go wherever you want. Anywhere.”

And, just like that, the two of them have already had the plans made.

Meng Yuran remained quiet with a cold look the entire time.

Lu Xun gave Lin Yiyi a call.

He had been wanting to ask Lin Yiyi out.

He had been busy with work the last couple of days. The holidays were getting closed and there was a lot of work that needed taken care of. He barely had any time to go over to the Lin’s.

This was certainly an opportunity from heaven!

Lin Yiyi was very hesitant at the beginning. She finally nodded and agreed after Meng Shanshan had urged her a few times in her sweet little voice.

She was just thinking about where to go to meet up with them when she remembered Lu Xun’s nephew…

“What about Zhe?”

Lu Xun was a bit surprised that she had brought up Lu Mingzhe.

As much as Lin Yiyi always put her two children above everything else and didn’t want to have too much involvement with Lu Mingzhe, she was a softie deep down inside.

She felt bad that Lu Xun would be taking her two children to the amusement park while leaving his 13-year-old nephew at home.

She felt very conflicted.

She grumbled and admonished Lu Xun, “Are you just going to ignore your nephew? Don’t you feel bad about leaving him behind when you go have fun yourself?”

Lu Xun dared not mention that he had just thought about his nephew, but he also didn’t want him there as a third wheel…

But he felt a sense of warmth when Lin Yiyi brought up Lu Mingzhe.

He smiled and said, “Yes, yes, yes. You are exactly right…”

Then, he placed the burden on her. “Can you please pick him up for me? We will meet up outside of Adventure Land~”

Lin Yiyi, “……”

She had inadvertently got herself a burden!

That being said, Lu Xun had already picked up her two children for her. It’d be wrong for her to not do this for him.

Besides, they were farther away and having him detour to pick up Lu Mingzhe would have taken up even more time.

Once she had thought that through, other than the slight feeling of awkwardness, she didn’t feel too resentful about the idea. She drove straight to the Lu’s mansion.
