After what felt like year, Daniel Park finally did something good. It came in the form of four small-sized and one medium-sized furballs.
She almost screamed when he entered the house with the dogs following him like ducklings.
"You....you...." she was loss for words as she stares at the pups that wag their tails, lacking synchrony with each other. Then to what she assumed as the mother dog that is carrying a scarf on her mouth.
"Uh...her name is Enu," Daniel explains, pointing to the mother dog. "Her original owners left her behind when they moved houses. I went there everyday to see her, but Enu only agreed to follow me recently."
She looks at him through her lashes and breathes a scoff. "Not surprised she took so long to do that."
"...(Y/N)..."
But she's already chose to ignore his presence and crouched down. The pups immediately ran up to her. They sniff curiously at her and barked with their tiny, high-pitched voices.
What the heck? Why are they so cute?
At least even if she cannot take Yenna home, she has furbabies that just moved in.
Enu watches her warily, ready to pounce as soon as the girl displays any sign of being a threat. At first, she growled threateningly at her.
As her pups remain safe and secure, she calms down a bit.
(Y/N) still didn't dare touch her just in case.
The dogs were so adorable and dependent that she ended up wasting half of her paycheck buying things for them and over-all just spoiling them. Daniel also bought some necessities for the five, but it was (Y/N) that gave them an endless supply of treats and snacks.
The pups are getting rounder and rounder with each passing day, but she doesn't regret what she did.
She also spammed dog pictures to Eli every day just to have a competition with him as to who can raise the most round, healthy baby. She still believes she's in the lead. Mostly because she's raising four equally round furbabies.
As soon as Vasco hears the news, he searched for them in the cafeteria during break.
"Daniel, (Y/N). I heard you're raising five retrievers. Is that true?"
(Y/N), who was busy trying to figure out why he whisked her away from her seat and steered her to the direction of her brother, only grunts in affirmation.
She fights her way out if his grip as soon as he falls into a tirade about how much he loves retrievers that he has one as his wallpaper.
That information is nice, but kind of unnecessary.
On a complete side note, Crystal has been attending school again. She remains as quiet as she was during the first few days. This time, no one bothered her.
The effect of looking like a celebrety really is incredible, huh?
Sometimes, (Y/N) sees an odd expression on her face. As if she is thinking about something that no one else would know. She reacts in the things that shouldn't concern her.
Today, Crystal's lack of interest was broken by Doo's loud proclamation about his streaming.
He was boasting about his money...Okay, good for him. Too bad average workers like her doesn't make as much, but no need to rub it in.
Well, it's not like he matters much to her. (Y/N) sends Crystal another look, trying to figure out what's going on in her head.
The girl remains as unreadable as ever.
