"Hey uhh Quackity could I quickly speak to you?" Wilbur asked,  knocking on Alex and Karl's shared room door before opening it and speaking.

"Huh, yeah sure" Alex said standing up and following Wilbur into the back garden. They would have gone to Will's room but Charlie was having a nap and Wilbur didn’t want Charlie hearing about it.

"Are you okay Wilbur? You're kind of worrying me” Alex chuckled nervously as he sat down beside Wilbur on the back porch.

"I'm not too sure how to say this," Wilbur laughed nervously.

"I wasn't sure if you'd be able to help but, ermm, Charlie's biological dad, John Adams, is fighting me for custody of Charlie" Wilbur sighed exasperated, his head held low in his hands, gripping at his hair in frustration.

"I don't know what to do," he told the younger Mexican man.

"I'm so sorry Will, are you okay?" Alex asked, he couldn't imagine how upset Wilbur must be, somebody was trying to take his child away.

"Of course I'm not fucking okay!" Wilbur exclaimed before realising what he had said and apologising to Quackity.

"Well, you need to look at  the interest factors, basically the things the judge is going to look for. The judge is going to ask Charlie who she wants to stay with, and they are going to look for signs of any uncomfortability between either Charlie and you or the other guy. They're going to look for emotional ties and who Charlie genuinely wants to be with" Alex said, reciting some of the things he had learnt in Law school.

"The judge will have a record of both yours and John's work, they will know what you do for a living and they will determine whether you or John has the facilities to care for Charlie. Essentially they're looking to see if you can provide food and a roof over her head, provide her clothes and give her 'good experiences'. They will actually like that you can be a stay-at-home parent because of your job," Alex said, Wilbur couldn't help but think he sounded like he was reciting from a textbook.

"The court is gonna look if any of the parents suffer from drunkenness, vulgarity or if they've committed any criminal acts, they're gonna look for mental and physical health of you guys. Obviously they're going to look for any domestic violence, hospital records, and any physical or sexual abuse, that's going to be something that they'll definetely look into. That's going to be a main factor in the result" Alex said seriously, he had pulled out his phone and was looking through his notes section about this particular subject.

Wilbur was listening intently and was extremely glad that he went to Quackity about this.

"You need to prove to the judge that you are a suitable parent for Charlie. Definitely don't get angry because the judge will definitely notice this and will bring it up" Quackity said to Wilbur, knowing how frustrated people get in court cases like this.

"That's all I can really tell you Will. Just come up with a good argument for yourself but I know you'll win, I can get in touch with my friend, his dad's like one of the top family lawyers in England if you need him. He owes me a favor anyway," Alex finished giving his advice to Wilbur, looking at the time and feeling pretty bad for having to leave.

"I'm sorry Wilbur, I have a stream with Karl in a few minutes, I'll Speak to you in a bit" Quackity said, patting Wilbur on the back before walking inside.

Wilbur decided to stay outside for a while, enjoying the peacefulness of it.

After some time sat outside he heard the door slide open and out walked Charlie, holding her stuffed bear while rubbing her eyes tiredly. She had woken up only fifteen minutes ago and went into Karl and Alex's room. She talked to them for a bit on stream before leaving to see Wilbur, who Quackity told her was still outside, meaning she had to ask Karl to help her put on her shoes.

"Hey Charlie," Wilbur said quietly, pulling her into a hug, ruffling up her already messy hair.

"Hi daddy" she yawned tiredly as she snuggled into his knitted jumper.

"Why are you out here and not inside with everybody else?" she asked cluelessly, not knowing anything about her situation.

"Oh, I want just thinking about stuff... mainly you!" Wilbur said as happily as he could, pulling Charlie into his arms as he stood round and spinning around with her in the back garden. Charlie left her stuffed bear on the porch, completely forgetting about it and just having fun.

Charlie giggled childishly at him and rested her head on his shoulder happily.

Once he stopped spinning Charlie wriggled out of his arms and took his hands in hers.

"Dance with me!" Charlie exclaimed joyfully, moving her feet around like ballroom dancing, to her she was practically already a professional, to Wilbur she just looked like she was moving her feet around in random patterns. It was adorable.

"Okay okay" Wilbur laughed, starting to 'ballroom' dance with charlie.

They stayed like that for a while until it started raining, Wilbur being a responsible parent tried to take Charlie inside but she was having none of it and started running about in the rain, jumping in all the newly forming puddles, and splashing water everywhere.

Eventually Wilbur did manage to pick up Charlie and brought her inside with him.

She was shivering in Wilburs arms and he couldn't help but think about the first night they met, Charlie was sat shivering on a curb where her father had left her, and she doesn't even know, Wilbur had never had the guts to tell Charlie what her biological father had done. Each time she'd ask he would tell her that her other dad was just doing something.

Wilbur did worry that when Charlie saw her biological father she may look happy, which would ruin his chances.

He didn't know what to do.
