ELIJAH
••••••••••••

Raising my fist, I knocked on Angela's hotel room.

It's been two days since I've seen her. Two days since I've lengthened my stay in Spain. Two days where I've been working hard on fulfilling my promise to Angela.

She wanted time and I gave her time. Two full days. I can't wait any longer.

I raise my hand to knock again but before I could, the door flung open.

"Who would wake me u- " Angela stops short at seeing me standing in her doorway. "Elijah?"

I raise a brow at her. She was rubbing her eye tiredly while wearing her baby blue night dress. Her dark wavy hair was messy too but she didn't care as she stared at me with a slight annoyed expression.

I faught hard not to look down because her dress was so short. I bet if she bend down a little, I could see h-

Nope. Not going there.

"Elijah?" I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Angela's voice.

"It's eight fifteen." I said and ignored my swirling thoughts.

"So?" She asked confused.

"And you're asleep already?" I asked lamely because at this point, I'm just nervous and spitting out the first things coming to mind.

"What's you're point?" She asked again before rolling her eyes. "I like to sleep." She shrugged.

I sigh and shake my head, "Nevermind." I hold out my hand to her, "I want to take you somewhere."

She looks down at my hand before looking back up at me. I grunt and move closer to her but she moves back.

"Please." I sigh, still reaching out to her.

She bites her lip while looking up at me, "Why?" She asks and I breath out.

At least she's not saying no.

"Because I told you that I was going to fight for you and that's exactly what I'm trying to do." I move closer towards her, "You just have to give me chance. I atleast deserve to have a chance, right?"

She hesitates as she looks between my eyes and my hand reaching for hers. She takes a deep breath before looking me dead in the eyes with a small frown.

"Are you going to keep your promise?" She asks and my heart skips a beat.

"Yes." Her eyes lingers on my face as she gauges my sincerity. "You can trust me, Angel."

She shakes her head, "I don't think I can trust you." She says softly and it feels like my heart just took a punch. I look down and let my hand fall.

I close my eyes, balling my hand into a fist.

"Not until you earn it again." She says and my eyes shoot open when I feel her hand covering my fist. I look at her and she offers me a barely there smile. "You're right. You deserve a chance. I'm sorry."
