They always love you like I do

I look into your eyes and I can see you remembering when you did this with them.
    
     When we go for a drive all I can think about is you sitting in their car.

When you order my coffee for me I wonder if you will always remember their favorite drink.

     They used to play baseball. Do you think of them every time you watch a game with me?

Do you miss their kisses when we are together? Do you wish you could see them one last time?

When you proposed to me were you thinking about when they left you? Did you wish it was them instead?

     Have you ever truly loved me or was it just them all along?

Can you ever be happy with me?

     I look into your eyes and I know you'd rather be with them. But I can't bring myself to leave you for it.

I know you want them, but I want you too much to go.

     Maybe you should be with them instead. But I'm selfish. So I'm standing here looking into your eyes and saying "I do". I know you are hesitating to say it back.

You'll say it anyway, though. I belong with you. Even though you belong with them.

     Maybe I'll tell you this one day. But not now. Right now I'll be selfish and pretend I didn't see them crying over you in the bar last night.

They deserve to be happy, but so do we. I love you. I know you love them more than me, but you still love me Clay. I know you love me. That's why you said "I do".
