♡  Alaiya's POV:  ♡

"Okay, now for background information. How did you and Carson end up together?"

I clear my throat. "We used to be best friends. Carson used to come over...whenever my dad would get drunk," this time, my voice breaks, making me feel inferior to what occurred. "But later on, my mom started making comments on how I should be with him so that she and Carson's mom could be related. We met because of our moms."

"Did Carson and his mom visit frequently?"

"His mom had a traveling job so she would come sometimes, but she was rarely home. Carson would come over often. His dad was in his life, but barely was there emotionally so when he passed away when Carson was thirteen, Carson didn't really feel it."

Eldon nods as he takes notes.

He asks me some more questions, and after about an hour, we finish.

"One last thing I have to tell both of you and could you please hold Roman back before he pounces on me?" Eldon requests.

I grab Roman's hand as we wait for him to say what he wants to stay.

"Since whoever this person is got someone else to hurt Roman so badly that he was in a coma, you guys are going to have to go to a safe house and live there until we can figure out who this is."

Both me and Roman freeze in shock.

What!

He wants us to leave our home and go into hiding!? For how long? Where would we go? Would we lose contact with everyone? Could we even leave the house? What about the kids? Autumn's school? Seeing our family? My grandparents?

I know this is a very serious situation, but I don't think it hit me how serious it was until this very moment. Well, when the picture was sent.

"What the hell did you just say?" Roman asks him to repeat his words.

"I know it isn't the best news-."

"Best news? Eldon, you didn't tell us that we have a leak in our goddamn roof, you're telling us that we have to fucking move so a crazy-ass person doesn't try to hurt our family!" Roman yells, his voice strained with frustration. "Why don't you just get the guy that ran into my car and find out who he'd been talking to before that?"

"We already did that and it led back to a burner phone that we can't track," Eldon tries his best to stay calm. I'm guessing he's had practice in these types of situations.

"Where even is this place?" Roman asks one of the questions I'm wondering too.

"I can't tell you. We can't tell anyone about this. Someone is going to take you to the location. You're going to tell everyone that you're going out of town for a while. If they ask where, tell them somewhere far so they won't go looking. And when I say don't tell anyone, that means anyone," Eldon says the last part with a very serious voice. "That includes family and friends."

"What about everyone from our friend group?" I question, finally saying something.

"Because they got past the security at Legend and Iris's house, that just means that they can get in anywhere."

Legend and Iris have a lot of security cameras around their house and somehow all the cameras went out at the same time. With Iris and Legend's huge acting and boxing careers, they obviously need a lot of protection in case fans try to sneak in which some have tried. No one, and I mean no one has gotten through. Until now.

"This includes my family too and I'm not letting Ivy or Violet get hurt so if you don't like this plan, I don't really care." I don't think I've ever seen Eldon so authoritative about something than when he's talking about Ivy and Violet which only goes to prove that they're all even more perfect for each other.
