It's been awhile since we last had a conversation.
How are you doing?
How's life going for you?
It's nice to hear from you in group chats
and see you talk about some things
but there are many things I want to say
and so many things I want to talk about.
I would love to see you again
and tell you about my day.
Talk to you about my thoughts
and listen to your voice.
But I guess I'll wait.
I'll talk about you silently in my books
and hope that your name pops up on my phone.
