After trekking for hours we eventually reached the hideout; everyone seemed exhausted from the trekking so after going in we all crashed all the ground tired.

"If I ever have the chance to choose the country I want to be born into I will never pick Nigeria" Juliet sighed sprawled on the ground.

"No one would ever choose to be a Nigerian because this country is too fucked up. It's being two days now since the attack on the state yet nothing has been heard from the government" I scoffed.

"What do you expect they are only interested in accumulating riches and nothing more and the annoying thing is that Nigerians refuse to be wise when the time for election comes they are still going to vote in the same leaders for just 2000 naira." Naomi added

"Well if you ask me you can't blame Nigerians, these so called leaders of ours know what they are doing; they make sure they starve them so much that when the time for election comes they take whatever is given to them" Ebuka commented looking me straight in the eyes making my heart beat faster than normal.

"I feel the youths should take over and overthrow these old men in power if not we will all continue to live in poverty and insurgency."

"It's not as easy as you think it to be dude" Naomi said replying Victor

"And many lives will be lost if a coup d'état should take place" Emma added

"Some lives have to be lost to obtain the victory we need. Nothing good comes easy but if there is unity nothing is impossible" I replied.

"I don't know about you guys but right now all I can think about is food. The last time I ate was last night so presently I'm famished and can eat a whole human if care is not taken" Hamza said interrupting our discussion.

"Ewww, gross" Ella squeezed her face disgusted.

"I can't believe they suffered my baby this much" Tolu pouted sadly and we all rolled our eyes.

"Wahala for who no get baby ooh" Ebuka joked and we all laughed

"Well, we are going to be eating bush meat again because we are gradually running out of provisions and sooner or later we will need to go out of this forest for provisions and some foodstuffs" I stood up grabbing my hunting knives and rifle

"Wait, does that mean we are going to be trekking out of this forest again?" Juliet squeezed her face irritated and I rolled my eyes.

"Do you have a better plan on how to get to the city?" I snort eyeing her and we glared at each other

"Mehn, I think we should loot a car on our way back because I'm fucking tired of trekking" Victor sighed obviously frustrated with the thought of trekking again.

"I agree with you bro" Ebuka chirped in.

"Alright whatever; who is going with me for hunting today?" I asked looking round at each of them but none of them look willing to go with me.

"Seriously? None of you are willing to go with me" I grasped annoyed

"Well I don't know about the rest but I can't lift my legs" Ella said and they all agreed with her well apart from Hamza.

"I can come along with you if you want" Hamza volunteered and I almost rolled my eyes again. I don't know why he can take the hint that I do not want to have anything to do with him. I would have preferred to go on my own since these lazy fellows are always too lazy to do anything.

"After today I won't go hunting for you guys anymore if this is how lazy you guys are always going to be." I hissed irritated

"Abeg, stop making yourself look so special" Juliet snorted and I simply ignored her walking out of the house with Hamza tagging along with me sometimes silence is the best answer for fools.
