Eddie had just explained what had happened with Chrissy, or at least, what he saw.
"I know how it sounds." Eddie said.
"We believe you." Robin said.
"Don't be shitting me right now." Eddie said.
"We aren't." Robin said.
"It sounds crazy." Eddie said.
"Guys, give us the room for a bit." I said.
"Y/n-" Steve started.
"Out! Now! All of you!" I yelled.
"All right, fucking hell, jeez." Steve said.
The rest of the group left, closing the door behind them.
"You think I'm crazy." Eddie said. It didn't sound like him asking a question, it sounded like he assumed he knew what I was thinking.
I shook my head then sat down in front of him. "No, I don't." I said.
Eddie nodded his head. "You do. You think I'm crazy. You think all of this sounds crazy and-" he said.
I put a finger on his lips to shush him. "Eddie. I don't think you're crazy." I said.
Eddie grabbed my wrist and moved my hand. "You don't?" He asked.
"Eddie. This, does sound crazy. But doesn't mean it isn't true." I said.
"So you do think I'm crazy." Eddie said.
"I think you're a lot of things. Funny, witty, smart, weird, hot. Crazy, isn't one of the things I assume, or think, that you are." I said.
"You think I'm hot?" Eddie asked.
"Eddie, that's not exactly the point or main focus right now." I said.
"You're right. You're right. Someone is dead. And they're gonna think I did this. Blame the freak." Eddie said.
"You are not a freak." I said.
"That, what everyone thinks. Not, that I actually care." Eddie said.
"Well, in my opinion, screw what they think. Yeah, you aren't normal. In fact, screw normal. Normal sucks. It's lame." I said.
"And that's why you like me." Eddie said.
"I never, I never said that, I, well, I didn't, say that I like you." I said.
"I think you do." Eddie said.
"What? What? Okay, okay. Now, is not the time to be talking about, that. Chrissy is dead, fuckin, no one knows if and when someone else is gonna die. And this, this is what you're choosing to focus on?" I said.
"Kinda, hiding out and on the run. So, not really much else to do." Eddie said.
The door opened and Steve popped his head in. "You two done talking? We gotta go." He said.
"No. Fuck off." I said.
"We gotta go." Steve said.
I turned around to face Steve. "Then, fucking leave without me." I said.
"You'll be stuck here until we can actually come back. I don't know when that'll be." Steve said.
"I don't give a rat's ass." I said.
"So, you're just, cool being stuck here with him?" Steve asked.
"Yes. I am. Now go. Shoo. Someone's gotta make sure someone doesn't catch his scent." I said.
"Aww, didn't know you cared." Eddie said.
"Oh, shush." I said leaning my head back into Eddie's lap.
"Fine. Fine, we're leaving. Last chance." Steve said.
"See ya, dude" I said.
Steve shook his head then closed the door.
"Why are you staying?" Eddie asked.
"Because." I said.
Eddie looked down, looking into my eyes. "Because? That's your reason?" He asked.
"What? Is that not a good enough reason for you?" I asked.
"No, it's not that. Just, curious is all." Eddie said.
"Curiosity killed the cat. That's, oh my gosh that's not good to say right now." I said.
"What? Why not?" Eddie asked.
"Someone died. Saying, curiousity killed the cat, hmm, it just feels super wrong." I said.
"Yeah, you're right." Eddie said.
"Mhm. Mhm. Yeah, I know I am." I said.
"That, is a little cocky, don't you think?" Eddie asked.
I stood up. I turned around to face him. I placed my hands on his legs, and bent forward enough to look him in the eyes.
"You think I'm cocky?" I asked.
"You think that I'm crazy." Eddie said.
"I told you, exactly the opposite." I said.
Eddie leaned forward a bit. "Did you?" He asked.
I glanced down at his lips for a few seconds before looking back into his eyes. "Yeah. I did. I'm, pretty sure I did." I said.
"I know what you're thinking." Eddie said.
"Not possible. You can't read minds." I said.
"Or can I?" Eddie said in a teasing tone with a grin on his face.
"Pretty, pretty confident you can't." I said.
"Do it." Eddie said.
"Do what?" I said.
"Kiss me. I know that's what you want to so." Eddie said.
"You couldn't handle it." I said with a slight smirk.
