Obito had given no word that he was leaving the village and didn't bother to do so. He didn't need anybody breathing down his neck.

Obito slowly went into a sprint he didn't want to run fast he would just end up hitting his head against a tree.

It's not unusual for him to dissociate when going on missions, but something was strange, so etching in his head was bothering him, it bothered him so much that he hadn't even kept track of how far he had gotten.

The issue at hand here isn't the fact that he might have trouble getting back to the village, he could do that just fine, the issue was that the small dizziness that he woke up with has grown into a migraine and it's messing with his head and line of thought.

But in the end Obito just sighed and sat down a mere migraine won't stop him for long, it's just better to sit it out instead of getting himself killed.

He doesn't want to die 'again'.

The cave... The cave that he was kept in. Where was that again?

Obito shrugged off the thought, it's been several years he wouldn't remember where it was even without the induced amnesia.

Before he knew it several minutes had passed and his sudden migraine subsided somewhat. Obito stood up taking the opportunity to stretch while he was at it.

The flicker that he was stuck with all night probably gave him the headache.

He didn't really know where he was going but his goal was a building or maybe a cave.

The more he remembered the better and the less soldiers that are being made the better.

Another thought crossed his mind during his involuntary dissociation.

"Why would they kill off an entire building of people?"

It wouldn't be because of him right? Him leaving would have nothing to do with it right? Obito's best guess was that Bee had orders and failed to follow them.

Was bee like him? A slave?

Obito shook his head, regardless of Bees status he wouldn't feel sympathy for the man.

Before he knew it he was entering an open field. Obito slowed down considerably watching the surroundings.

The sun had risen to the center of the sky during his travels. He must have been running for a while.

Obito didn't get to enjoy the scenery for long. He heard a yell behind him.

In any other situation he would say something along the lines of "it's not my business."

But that scream was familiar, and by familiar he means Sasuke.

Did Sasuke follow him? How? Was he really running that slow?

Obito didn't waste anymore time dawdling in his thoughts, this was the time to take initiative and to investigate what happened.

Obito's eyes darkened before becoming a blood red. He found Sasuke on the ground but he was puffing his chest out to act brave.

Obito saw that there was a group of people.

Recognizable people at that, they had the seal marks all over their bodies much like Obito. Some wore the seal in full display while others were obviously hiding it.

Before anyone else could do anything more to Sasuke Obito stood tall in front of him.

There was a long silence and silent bickering before one of the people there spoke at full volume.

"Well look at that!" The voice had a strange echo to it.

The girl who spoke wore the same seals but they had different patterning.

Obito furrowed his eyebrows but didn't speak. Sasuke stood up.

"Looks like you had the fortune of escaping!" The girl smiled widely. Her seals moved to her face like a snake  wiggling and changing shape.

The others looked at Obito warily.

"What are you doing here Sasuke." Obito said quietly, though it's not like speaking lowly would have given them privacy, they were surrounded.

"Look he doesn't like when these sorts of things happen, I mean who would? You're probably the guy who escaped that base near the leaf!" She yelled the revelation to show that Obito was someone they needed to be wary off.

Obito only tightened his eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about." Obito spoke through gritted teeth.

"Oh... But you clearly do... Your seals say otherwise and your lying isn't what you were tortured for. Whoever was in charge of that place clearly sucked!"

Obito didn't get it, she had the seals, why was she acting this way?

Her ' playful smile' made its way into a frown. "I don't understand, you are obviously one of us! Why are you like this? Why do you speak with emotion? Why do you act like your life has a purpose?"

Sasuke looked at the girl with a confused expression.

"Of course his life has a purpose! Everyone has one!" Sasuke yelled making Obito's eyes widen.

The girl's frown only deepened.

As much as Obito appreciates Sasuke saying that, he is in every way outmatched. With Sasuke here he cannot fight like he would.

And the girl with the snake seals doesn't make Obito feel any better. She is most likely the leader of this group, talking so freely is something the leaders have the fortune of doing.

"You're just a kid. You speak with no experience... You will know what my words mean when you are older. Promise!" The girl smiled once more before letting her eyes fall back onto Obito.

Obito could just teleport but the girl knows who he is. She knows what to look for, she will get Sasuke before the teleportation process is completed.

Obito's eyes furrowed. He had no time to think.

The girl raised her hand and weapons started flying from every direction.

Obito had no time to think, no time to process what is happening.

Obito doesn't know how or why it happened. But his body just seemed to move on its own as cheesy as it sounds.

Obito used his body as a human shield to Sasuke. He will deal with them soon. Just now seemed to not be the time.

Obito supposes this is what he gets for not paying attention while he traveled.

Not only did he not notice Sasuke but he didn't notice any of this group. He really is a disappointment of a ninja isn't he?
