We stand huddled around the table as El plays with Mike's walkie "Just tell our parents we have AV Club after school that'll give us at least a few hours for operation Mirkwood" Mike spoke
"You seriously think that the weirdo knows where will is?" Lucas looked to Mike
"Just trust me on this, ok" Mike looked at Lucas "You guys got supplies?"
"Yeah," Lucas picked up his backpack "binoculars from nam, Army knife also from nam, hammer, camouflage bandana, and the wrist rocket!" he pulled everything out as he spoken of it
"You're gonna take out a demogorgon with a slingshot?" Dustin asked
"First of all, its a wrist rocket. And second of all the demogorgon's not real it made up." Lucas defended "But of there is something out there, I'll shoot it in the eye and blind it!" he said pulling the sling shot back, shooting as if he had a rock in it, Mike and dustin jumped.
"Dustin what did you get?" Mike asked. Dustin dumped a bunch of snacks on the table and started to name them
"Seriously?" Lucas asked
"We need food for our travels!" Dustin defended
"For stamina!" I added on
"Besides why do we even need weapons anyway!? We have her!" Dustin pointed to El
"She shut one door!" Lucas shouted
"With her mind!" Dustin fired back "Are you kidding me!? That's insane! Imagine all the other cool stiff she can do. Like I bet that she could make this fly" he grabbed the Lego star Wars ship that we built and began trying to make El fly it. He dropped it, it fell to the floor. He tried again, it fell to the floor.
"Idiot" Lucas mumbled
"She's not a dog!" Mike said grabbing the ship
"Kids! Time for school!" Mom yelled from the kitchen
Dustin, Lucas, and I ran upstairs and straight outside, waiting for Mike.

"This one?" Mike asked holding up a rock
"To big for the sling" Dustin said "Hey you think Eleven was born with her powers like the x-men or do you think she acquired them like- like-" Dustin started
"Like Green lantern?" I finished
"She's not a superhero she's a weirdo." Lucas said
"Why does that matter?" Mike asked "The x-men are weirdos"
"If you love her so much why don't you marry her!" Lucas said as the two boys stopped looking for rocks
"What are you talking about?" Mike asked
"Mike seriously?" I turned around adding myself into the conversation
"You look at her all like 'Hi El! El! El El! I love you so much! Would you marry me!'" Lucas said hugging Mike then getting on one knee causing me to laugh
"Would you shut up!?" Mike yelled
"Yeah, shut up Lucas!" Troy's friend yelled walking up to us
"What are you losers doing back here?" Troy asked
"Probably looking for their missing friend"
"That's not funny!" Dustin said
"It's serious, he's in danger" I added
"I hate to break it to you toothless and klutz, but he's not in danger. He's dead." Troy was rude about it "That's what my dad says, said he was probably killed by some other queer" His friend laughed
