The teens were all downstairs crowded around the dining table as they stared up at the chandelier above them in awe and realisation. The lights were slowly flickering on and off, just like they had done in Joyce's house when she was trying to communicate with Will, "Oh shit, it's just like the Christmas lights," Adira muttered out as she stared up at it, "I knew it, I bloody well knew it." Adira had, had a gut feeling this whole time that all of this was connected to the upside-down in some way

5 minutes ago when Maxine had rushed to her to tell her that the lights around the house were all starting to go off and were flickering, she knew that it wasn't exactly what you would consider to be good news. She had called a 'family' meeting immediately and rounded up all the scattered teens around the house. Now here they all were, watching the lights flicker in front of them as they figured out exactly what it meant and if they could use it to their advantage.

"The Christmas lights?" Robin asked Adira in confusion as she leaned over in her direction slightly, hoping that the short brunette would elaborate more on what she was talking about, some of them were kinda new to the group and had skipped a couple of chapters or so.

Robin was ready to listen to all of Adira's theories, as far as she was concerned Adira was the smartest one in the group and if there was anybody that she would trust her life with, it was Adira Harrington's.

"Yeah, when Will Byers was in the upside-down... when this shit all first started happening, the lights all started going batshit crazy and pretty much came to life, it was how we knew where the Demogorgon's were and Will was able to communicate with his mother using these Christmas lights that she set up on the wall like a big ass Oujia board, it was creepy as hell man, I'm not even going to lie," Adira muttered out to Robin who nodded her head slowly, seemingly taking in the new information relatively well

"Wait, so what does it mean now? That there are those Demogorgon things around here?" Eddie asked Adira in confusion, shifting his eyes away from the chandelier to look over at his girlfriend who was looking up at the light with a hint of dread and fear. He knew that if Adira was scared, this wasn't good news and it was pretty damn bad. He tried to imagine what the Demogorons had looked like and how bad they were and he was able to get a pretty good image from everything that they had told him in the boathouse.

"Nope, it means that our old pal Vecna is here walking around in his dressing gown and slippers, more than likely in the upside down," Adira said with a sigh, reaching into her pocket and flipping out her butterfly knife again, "he's in this house, just not... in this dimension but we don't know if he can just create one of those stupid gate thingies and come right through and grab us right now. Hell for all we know, there could be more gates around here right now."

Suddenly the lights in the chandelier all went out, the teens stopped talking, all of them waiting for what was going to happen next. "I think that he just left the room," Robin muttered out, stating what all of them were thinking.

Adira stepped closer to Maxine, keeping an eye on everything around the room as she gripped her blade tightly, worried that Vecna was going to try and hurt Max again, though it was clear he preferred doing it by being a weirdo with no respect of peoples privacy and entering their minds.

"Did he hear us?" Maxine muttered out in fear, praying to god that, that was not the case and it just happened to be a coincidence that he walked away when Adira had said what she did. Max looked around the room quickly, checking to make sure that Vecna wasn't lurking around them somewhere

"Can he see us?" Steve added, and the teens all shared worried glances. All of this just seemed to be getting worse and worse the further that they delved into it. They knew that this wasn't going to end well and they more than likely didn't stand a chance, but right now they were all standing there like a bunch of targets, just waiting for Vecna to jump out and grab one of them
