"Jeremiah!" I yell through the wall, "Get in here!"

He scrambles into my room and stands in the doorway, "What?" He asks through his breath.

"Close the door and come here." I say and pat the bed next to me.

He gives a suspicious look but does it anyways.

"What?" He asks after sitting down.

"What's the game plan?" I ask.

"What?" He asks for the third time.

"Please, use another word. Unless your vocabulary is that small."

"What?" He says close to my face, obviously annoyed.

I groan, "We did the dance thing so what's the next move?"

"Oh, uh," He thinks for a moment, "I've got nothing."

I roll my eyes. We sit there in silence trying to think of things.

"Okay, we should make ground rules." I say.

"Ground rules? Like what?" He asks.

"Um, no telling anyone about the deal."

"Well, no shit." He belittles.

"WeLL, nO sHiT." I mock.

"Whatever, maybe like, no kissing." He snaps his fingers.

I shiver, "Done."

"Oh, it wouldn't be that bad to kiss me. You on the other hand.." His eyes widen.

I smack his arm. His face goes back to normally quickly.

"Okay, no telling anyone, no kissing, no?" I pause, "Hooking up with other people. This has to seem legit."

"Fine," He sighs. "But if an opportunity presents itself with Belly or Conrad, we take it."

"Obviously," I nod.

"Is that enough?" He asks.

"Yeah, I think so." I agree, "What about like 'do' rules?" I ask.

"What?"

"We just went over the 'don't' do rules, what about the 'do' rules?" I explain.

He nods in understanding.

"Do, play along." He eyes me.

"Yeah, yeah, it was a new concept." I defend.

"And do, pet names?" He asks.

"Absolutely not." I fake gag, "The day I call you 'baby' is the day I die."

He scoffs, "Fine, how about do only act in public or when a mutual could be present?"

"Like Belly or Conrad?" I ask.

"Or my mom, or your mom, or Steven." He adds.

I nod. "Alright."

"We should also get clear on what our," I pause and make quotation marks with my fingers, "'Relationship' is."

"Hmm,"

"Not dating, that's too tied down for any chance with them." I say and he nods.

"But not like a quick fuck, we have to make them jealous of the feelings." It's my turn to nod.

"More like a romantic fling, kind of 'exploring our feelings' type of thing?" I suggest.

"Perfect." He smiles.

"So when's our date?" I ask.

"Excuse me?" He protests.

"You have to take me out if we're going to get anyone jealous." I explain like it's common knowledge.

"Why don't you take me out?" He argues.

"Because I don't want to." I say simply.

He huffs, "Mini golf after dinner tomorrow?"

I nod, "Sounds good."

"I hope you're a good actor." He says.

"Acting faces on." I tilt my head and walk over to the door, he follows.

"Can't wait." I force a blush and motion him out of my room.

"Me either." He stares at me with a sly twinkle in his eyes before walking out.

After the door closes I belly flop onto the bed and groan into a pillow.

Goodnight world, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.
