"Santi, can't you just send someone else to the hotel?" Just a few minutes ago, Carlos called me to come to the hotel to discuss the mafia event coming up. Next week was the event and my father gave me the job to prepare it all.
Having to deal with the mafia and at the same time the hotels is a lot but the only person I'm doing this for is my brother - Elias.
"I don't want to leave you at home but it's urgent." I kiss Reina's forehead but she pulls away because she's mad. I hold my lips together, watching her scrunch up her nose in annoyance and her brows join together out of frustration.
"When is everything not urgent?" She raises her voice a little, turning around to walk away but before she could, I pull her close to me. "Let go of me Santi, go do whatever you have to do." She rolls her eyes, trying to get out of my arms.
"I'll be back quick, I promise," I whisper in her hair, resting my lips on her temple.
"Whatever, just go." As she gets out of my arms, she walks away into the kitchen making me guilty for leaving. I run my hands over my face and leave anyway because I need to be at the hotel. I'll call her.
I hate seeing Reina mad, it does something to my heart when I see her upset. I'll make it up to her, somehow but for now I need to go. But it's cute seeing her like this, her cheeks flare to red, her nose scrunches, scowling like she means it but doesn't actually, her lips biting to hold herself from yelling.
Once reaching the hotel, I met Eli and Rico in my office who were already waiting for me. We were going through the list of the mafias attending, However, my mind was on Reina, thinking of what she was doing. If I could I would rush back to her in seconds but Rico and Elijah won't let me.
"So we have fifteen mafia's attending, including ours, the Guerrero's, and the fucking Koreans," Elijah speaks, showing me the list of names and only frustrating me when I see the Koreans on it.
"We can't remove them from the list," Rico says.
"But we can put surveillance everywhere. I want your and Eli's men to be around the hotel the whole evening. I'll get my men to be guarding outside." I inform them, taking in a deep breath because one way or another, the fucking Koreans will attack. "They could hit us at any time. So have your men prepared."
"We'll be prepared. Why do you look so distressed, Santi?" Elijah questions, obviously he would. I roll my eyes as he starts to smirk.
"I'm not distressed."
"Sure you aren't. I bet Reina got mad at you for coming here." He nudges Rico and they both start laughing.
Just as I was going to speak, my phone started ringing. Taking it out of my pocket, I read 'Reina' on the top of the screen. "It's her now,"
"We'll leave to go check the hall." Rico and Eli stand up, leaving my office alone to answer her call. I hope she's okay.
