"I'M IMMORTAL
DUMBASS"

KATELYN SHOULD HAVE STAYED exactly where she was, not involved herself in the whole double family drama and instead kept herself at the academy where she couldn't be blamed for causing more mischief and chaos.

She should have.

However, Katelyn was known for chaos and if that meant finding out where that certain family was after they raided her home then so be it. It wasn't particularly hard as walking around looking like you were just taken from a 1960s framed photograph wasn't that common and even with the addition of superheroes protecting said city, you couldn't really go unnoticed without someone saying something.

That's how she found herself standing in front of The Oblivion, her family ironically oblivious to her plan. She could lie to most of them easily, a next door girl look and they believed her antics without a question. Ben though, he was harder.

Ben Hargreeves questioned everything she could do, wanted to spend his whole life with her and most importantly did not believe her innocence one bit. The rest of them forgot she was the same age as them most of the time and therefore she could spoon feed her lies to them like they would spoon feed a baby. He knew her recklessness and carnage as much as he knew her childish behavior. Going out for running was not in her schedule.

Making sure her auburn hair was tied high enough, the girl fixed her top and closed her fingers around the door. Pushing against it softly, it opened and she was inside the old fashioned establishment. It was rushed with the city's most degenerate and it made her curl up her nose before stalking towards the counter.

Smile on her face, sickly as honey and childlike features that bore into the eyes of the receptionist. Katelyn was perceived as the sweet girl of the Sparrow Academy, used for posters and interviews. Lucky for her, since her accident Reginald and the others wouldn't dare let her fight any sort of enemy in front of the camera and therefore made her out as innocent in these sorts of things.

"Ding, Ding," Katelyn imitated, grin bright and wild. Her lips were a girly pink and her teeth were sparkling when she spoke. "Gosh, silly me. My friends came here a while ago. You may know them...look like they were ruffled a bit?"

He stared at her face then at the key rack before shaking his head slightly. "I don't think so Miss, maybe you lost them?"

Katelyn, like the child she faked, didn't like getting her own way. It made her want to stamp her feet against the floor and cry until she got what she wanted. It worked with the idiots she lived with but knowingly, this would be a more liberating job.

Clicking her tongue, she reached for her purse. The notes gleaming from the corner of his eye made him hum a little. "How about now? What room are they in?" She asked, chin resting on her hands which were holding a fifty dollar note. "You must know. I need to find them."
